Can't Get Rid Of Brown Tires!

I wonder if using Kevin Browns cleaning method
Would help applying Turf shine tire coating?
As we all know the Tuf shine tire cleaner is pretty pricey
 
^ Yes it will. I would still do a few rounds with their cleaner to be safe though.
 
I had the same problem with this past set of tires I bought for my Sti (Hankook Ventus RS3) I used OPC at full strength, nothing. I used Sonax and nothing. Used Grime Reeper from CG full strength and nothing. Then I pulled out a can of Brakekleen and sprayed on a Costco MF and proceeded to wipe until it finally turned black. I ended up using a can and a half and 6 Costco MF in the trash and now they clean up fine with OPC 3:1.
 
It is good to have a selection of tire cleaners to deal with a specific situation since tires response to cleaners do vary.
 
While this method is kind of tedious to do if you are performing it on a daily basis for multiple cars, it works. Neglected tires that are never cleaned and just dressed often turn brown and mineral spirits on an old rag hasn't failed to take them off yet in my experience. Great stuff.

I've found goop gone does amazing pulling brown off tires extremely fast.

Tuf Shine, Hi Temp Tire Cleaner, Power Clean > dilute strongly then let it sit on the tire without wetting. Repeat x3. Scrub hard. Then let it dry and use a microfiber with a tire cleaner again to scrub even more.
