Car Shampoo for ceramic coating?

Also has anyone used Gyeon bath? I know Gyeon and CarPro have very similar products like Prep and Eraser.
Does bath perform like reset?

No it does not. Reset will win in cleaning. Bathe is a nice general soap.

And yes Reset can be used in a bucket and foam cannon/gun. It’s a great option to keep the coating clean. It’s. It such a big deal if maintaining one’s personal vehicle when people bring up cost.

What do you think about the Sonax Xtreme Rich Foam?
This is my current shampo. I don’t know if it is safe to use it on ceramic coating.
Should I throw it in the trash and buy the Reset shampoo?

Reset appears to use a unique chemistry that cleans better than most soaps while retaining a pH neutral consistency. It also leaves nothing behind and smells great.

I decided to purchase the reset. I’ll likely do a test to see if it’ll actually have any noticable performance difference.

Im looking to change up my wash products so looking for products. Im recoating my car and noticed my CSL being foggy when removing it during a 50/50 shot. I’m thinking it could be my wash setup so I’m investing in some new products atm.

I speak for many when I say you will be very happy with that!

I love Reset but I've got a bottle of Bilt-Hamber auto wash and I always forget how great it truely is. It was on the expensive side coming directly from across the pond but it's a flat out great wash AND a little really goes a very long way...how long, well 1 ounce to about 3 gallons of water is plenty enough

Did you order that Bilt Hamber a while ago? It's available in the U.S.

Also to my knowledge, I know reset can be used for both foam cannon and bucket shampoo. What are your thoughts on having Reset as a dedicated bucket wash and having something like Adams Mega foam as a dedicated foam cannon soap?

I'm personally a sucker for thick shaving cream foam:)

Do you use reset in the bucket as well? Or seperate soaps for foam and bucket

I use it for both, no need to have a separate soaps for foaming and bucket washing.

I also like how it foams -

For bucket washing, use 25-30ml of Reset into a bucket with 10-15 litres of water.

Depends on why you foam. There are more alkaline foams that will de a better pre wash than Reset like Bilt Hamber. These may affect your non coating LSP’s.

I’m sure the Reset probably cleans better than the Adam’s foamed on but it is also expensive as you use alot for that purpose.

Some things are expensive because they're worth it

If you read any of my previous post Reset Is a go to and always in my staple as a bucket wash. I’ll try other things but believe me I am not looking nor expecting to find something better.

As a snow/pre foam, it is not worth it. If your looking for absolute cleaning BH autofoam kicks its ass.

If your wanting to stay PH neutral (and my choice for both better foam and cleaning l) would be Griots Surface wash.

The OP said he’s a sucker for thick like shaving cream foam and you can get that from Adam’s mega foam or CG Honey Dew (hasn’t affected my coatings).

In any of these cases you will save money and get a better or as good of a performing product for less.

I hope this doesn't cause too much of a problem but Pan just released a video of Bilt-Hamber products and the one that impressed me right away was the pre-wash. Although it didn't foam up and turn the car white, what it did do was break down the dirt quickly on this trashed M-B. Now don't get me wrong, it's fun doing that but results and speed are what counts most. I'm suggesting you watch Pan's video to see how this product worked, not to mention the wheel cleaner he used, THAT was even more impressive IMO. BILT-HAMBER is here and ready to compete with CarPro and Gyeon

I have experience with this Bilt-Hamber product, I paid good money for it through Ebay and shipping and only use it when the car is truely dirty I savor this stuff like a fine wine, if I want the "$3.00 stuff", well I have that in my collection too

If one can simply foam a mildly dirty car with one of these soaps and not have to agitate with mitts, that product would be a true winner!

OP i like a nice thick foam as it’s visual pleasing. Most manufacturers of snow foam products recommend it actually be a little runny to help in the process of breaking down the surface dirt/film.

Reset:

I use/recommend bucket washing witI throw in something else as I feel I don’t need reset quality clean for every wash so i alternate between something else (BH autowash currently). Reset would be fine for weekly washing but I like to try different things.

BH AutoWash:

Haven’t used it yet but it gets great reviews and BH makes products that work.

Griots surface Wash:

This is my most of the time go to pre treat. Cleans the best for a dedicated PH Neutral pre wash. Also foams better than Reset if that is important.

Bilt Hamber AutoFoam

This is a Alkaline based pre wash. A little runnier like Reset in Cannon. This has alot more cleaning power than anything else that I have found. I use this mainly in fall and winter when my car picks alot of road film from the ground or when I am doing a decontamination wash ind spring and summer. Also i use mostly out of a IK foam 12 as it is more economical.

Koch Chemie GsF:

Haven’t used it but is PH neutral and rates well. Matt from obsessed loves it and although not a big fan he definitely uses products that work.

Also for $10 less you get 40oz more than Reset in the jug. Some say it’s as good as reset as a bucket wash but i probably won’t find out as i’m happy with my soaps.

CG Honey Dew Snow Foam:

I’ve had this the longest. Least cleaning power but best shaving cream like foam. When I feel like a foam show I still bust this out every once in awhile.

Well as you know THAT product doesn't exsist and think about it, if it did it would enilate all your LSP's, noone wants that, even me

Do you go onto Autopia? I have a thread and yes BH AutoFoam is the best pre wash available in US that cleans of the grime.

Here are some shots. Foamed on with IK foam 12, pet dwell for 5 minutes…. Pressure washed off.
