Chinchilla Lint Galore!

I just removed the 3 pack from my cart...

the search for the perfect rinseless towel continues I guess...

Well I just received my order of 6 chinny's and 2 of them had tuffs or balls of material all over them(only on one side). I started to pick the tuff's off and the towels just keep giving it up. I called AG and they are sending me two replacements. In the mean time I washed all six towels and marked the two that were shedding for identification after the wash. Those two towels after washing are now missing big chunks of material. I hope the rest of my towels are not going to do the same, If they do I will be contacting AG for replacements.

I recently purchased a Chinchilla and have had no lint problems. I only use it for a final wipe and buff.

Wow... sorry to hear you guys are having issues with these towels. That last picture definitely does not look very good. That towel just looks a little different then the originals that were first posted on here. Its a shame because I think I have a couple towels like that from a different company and they are amazing and would not give them up for what I paid for them.

What's the point in having a towel like that if you can only use it for a final wipe? So glad I skipped out on these because the first reviews made it look like a nice towel. Sounds like these have taken the place of the old Shamrock towels. :bolt:

I don't have any Chinchillas and probably never will but I'm just curious as to when the last time the OP clayed his car's paint was and if imbedded IFO would cause this linting to be worse.

Dave, just did a full detail last week. Clay, 105/205, po85, and cg Black Light (and i did follow your advice from my last thread about cleaning on the fly and how to use m105, with awesome result, very little if any dusting at all. Thanks a ton!)

Well, i went out and did a small section of the hood after hand washing the chinchilla and letting it hang dry. No more linting. Im so glad bc i really like the softness of it compared to the deluxe jr.

*Side note, i went out and tried v7 and xmt360 on my snl's '07 white CRV. v7 gave it a more "glow" but fuzzy in a way compared to xmt 360, which made the paint look "crisp". Reflection and slick wise, xmt 360 does a better job imo.

the quality MUST have gone down. I have owned chincillas for months now from another vendor that was the first to supply them in the US. the towels i had NEVER ever linted. it was litterally impossible to make them lint, short or ripping the MF apart. wet, dry, damp, soaked, they NEVER lint. and are incredibly absorbent.
Yep, same exact situation for me.

Why hasnt someone from AG jump into this thread already...?
They should have knew that the quality was not the same as the 1st batch

soooo....

any recommendations out there for another towel that is plush on both sides? I mainly want to use it for rinseless washing.

PM's welcome... :)

I received my Chinchillas last week I washed them before useing them. Then I used them with DP Waterless Wash and had a lint everywhere.

I have several towels that are dedicated to final wipe and buffing. I see nothing wrong with that. Are you looking for an all purpose towel?

No, I meant a fluffy towel like that. If you can't use it any other time except as a final wipe towel and only dry then it's pointless to have. A good towel should handle any situation without falling apart, especially when they have a price tag like that.

:iagree:

Whats up with the picture of the Chinchilla falling apart?! Isolated incident or bad batch? Prospective Chinchilla purchasers want to know.

I got my Chinchilla towels a while ago and they look exactly like the photo provided by AGO. It really sucks if the quality of these towels has diminished, because i really like my chinchilla towels. I also agree with the previous posts. If the quality of the towels has obviously gotten worse, why have they not done anything to fix it?
