Coatings, schmoatings: 100% carnauba wax shine!

Is it even possible to buy 100% carnuba wax? I doubt anyone even sells it that way

What I have learned is that the wax is 100% carnauba but the product in the jar is not 100% wax.

ok. I'm not talking night and day differences, but subtle differences are still different. And I don't mean that different equals better either. I have applied an LSP to a polished car many times and felt that it looked better w/o the LSP.

The light going through the LSP, then the clear coat, then bouncing off the base color then back through the clear coat and then the LSP to get back to you will experience 5 medium boundaries. Each time the angle of refraction (think of how looking at your arm that is under water looks like it is broken at the water/air boundary) is different and the angle of total reflection ( the angle at where all the light is reflected and you can no longer see into the paint and the panel turns into a mirror) changes. The combination of the 2 provides the look unique to that car and the LSPs on it.

Haven't really noticed big time dust attraction, but I don't live in a dusty area. I live in a humid, lush environment.

I really like the new Camaro, but its getting squashed in sales by the Mustang.

Great! That's one of the reasons I bought Camaro, Mustangs are everywhere. I live in Ford Country. Since the F250 is built in Louisville, many people buy Mustangs with the family discount. You get more HP/$ with the Mustang, but the Camaro is a beautiful car.

Hard to beat the low end torque of the Chevrolet LT engine. I like the sound the mustang coyote makes but I'm not wanting to get over 6000 rpm before I appreciate it. The LT1 is cheaper to build, much larger with fewer moving parts, is lighter, and makes good power in all rpm ranges. The Camaro has the looks as well as that low end kick in the pants. Yes I'm sure Chevrolet will go to the dual overhead cam route someday but I still love the pushrod LT1 engine. I also like the fact that I can run on four cylinders with the automatic in any mode once I back off the throttle on my corvette grand sport.

Really? The SS Camaro has more HP and it looks nice, but the Mustang GT looks really nice!

Agree. Let's see if the new 460hp Coyote will actually perform. The last go-round was slow by comparison when up against the Camaro which with just radials could hit high 11's whereas the best I've seen stock Mustangs go down the strip was high 12's and that was with an auto. My guess is now they will finally hit low to mid 12's with the new 10spd transmission. I still like beating up on them badly though :)

Max Speed Wax .... love it with a wash or without.
