Cobra Indigo Towel Resolution

I agree completely and this is what we are doing and will be complete later today. In addition to everything else that Max and myself and the rest of our team normally do during the course of a business day, we are making this a top priority. In the last 48 hours since we came back from the holiday we are working together to take the correct steps make this right.

The Indigo and the Arctic towels on Close Out will have a different name and a different part # along with the appropriate copy, in addition to the reduced pricing.

Hi Dwayne,

I saw the special pages for the polishing cloths. Very nice job to all involved! This is how great companies turn lemons into lemonaide. $3.33 each in a 3 pack and $2 each in a 12 pack for a great towel is not bad. Even better if we can we trim the edges without the fabric unraveling?

If we can cut off 1/8-1/4" around the border by hand without unraveling, the towels are an awesome good deal in bulk.

What about the previous orders of the Pinnacle Souveran that had a supplied blue towel with it? I ordered mine when it was on the most recent VIP Special. I also wish to say thanks to AG and especially Dwayne for addressing this issue in the quick manner it is being delt with. ALL COMPANIES has issues now and then w/manufacturing and the difference is how it gets handled. Problems with products is not a question of if but when. Thanks for not sticking your head in the sand and hoping it goes away. That...to me is what sets you (AG) apart from the others.

I just tried it with a razor sharp paper cutter and the material will fray and unravel if trimmed.

Everyone that received them whether by purchasing them specifically or by receiving them bundled with another item can contact me.

Rats. I thought that I read somewhere that the weave would keep them from unraveling.

Your the man Dwayne and thanks for all the past help you've given me.:props:

I cut a section out of one of my indigos to make small little headlight plexus cloths a year ago. While it does shed some it didn't fall apart. I've only used it a couple times since so maybe if I used it more it would fall apart more.

Your the man Dwayne and thanks for all the past help you've given me.

I agree! You've helped me a lot as well Dwayne and I very much appreciate it.

:dblthumb2: to AG, I like these towels more than the indigo polishing towels. IMO, they are just super soft and safe. Different length on each side. One side is actually tighter than the indigo, and the other is super plush and should work great for final buffing.

Thank you AG, :props:, time to start :buffing: and getting Im the MAN

(note : they are a richer gold color in person, my camera is not the best and has a habit of adjusting to backround colors which results in false richness of color on the focused object)

also to note, AG took it upon themselves to send these to me ! What other vendor would go ahead and do such a thing upon a complaint on a forum !

I just wish I could have seen this thread before. Been using these white microfiber polishing towels to remove fuzion and I just realized they all have these rough edges. AG should contact everyone who they sold these to. I think this is a huge mistake by AG.

To be honest, the edges on those towels are not going to harm a thing. I've been using and will continue to use them without issue. If you think about it, when do you rub the very tip of the edge against the paint? The only rough part of these towels never sees direct contact with the finish. With that said, you are still entitled to your free replacements, so feel free to contact us with your order info and we will get you taken care of. :)

I disagree to some extent Matt. I do not think anyone including you, would let these towels come near your cars delicate paint after knowing about the problem. I am sure many members here including me are not pros like guys at AG to hold towels perfectly every time and make sure hard ends do not rub. Just like I would not let a porter cables wire rub my cars paint, I would not want my polishing towel to have hard ends. I reside in Pakistan, anything I buy from AG ends up being 4 times more expensive because of insane shipping and taxes. Even If I ask for the replacement I would still have to pay insane taxes here, so not feasible for me.

Sorry to hear about your shipping situation. Perhaps we can include them in your next order without adding value to the shipment since they are free.

As for the towels, I do use them on my car, regardless of the fact that it has the softest paint I've ever worked on. As I said, I've never had an issue, and no, I don't always have my towels perfectly folded. Even if an edge folds over while you're buffing off wax, the END of the edge is still not directly contacting the paint. You'd have to hold the edge itself against the paint to get it to scratch. :dunno::props:

I times I had issues was when one side folded under while wiping. This put that hard edge under your hand while using slight pressure. I wouldn't risk it after a full detail. Having to go over my hood again really pi**ed my off.

agreed, i wouldn't want any possible chance of marring the finish due to a defect in the towel. better safe than sorry is what i always say...

Totally agree. I've gotten some towels like this in the past without my knowledge (not from AG), and there is no way in heck they touch anything but my wheels, engine, or windows. They will absolutely hurt your paint. If AG offered them for a lower price I would buy some for junk towels but even at the discounted price it's too much, $3.99 for a six pack would be a deal $7.99 for a 12 pack...and we got a deal

Matt,

I don't like towels that HAD sewn in labels on them. I moved from "detailing specific" cotton diapers to MFs to further reduce the risk of scratches. I've already done the nasty to my paint with a still labeled MF towel once and learned my lesson. It's something that I NEVER did with those before mentioned cotton diapers.

That's why I liked the Cobra edgeless towels. No labels, no non-microfiber threads, no satin edges, and no hard edges = no scrathes after I spent hours taking them out. I have about a dozen of the arctic whites and indigos which I love, but I won't buy anymore until the issue is solved even if you are right.

:xyxthumbs:I think AG did a fine job of resolving this problem. I am very satisified with how they went about the problem, and frankley I have STOCKED up on indigos! There is an obvious edge issue, but it is easily resolved my trimming down the edges! Sure, they will not last as long, will be a bit smaller, and may shed a bit, but for the low price, for me, I cant go wrong! Nothing pulls off compund like these bad boys!:xyxthumbs:
