Current Favorite Soap/Shampoo

lately, i've been using pb's super slick & suds car wash which is fantastic. very slick with tons of lubricity (and lots of suds), ph neutral (safe for waxes, sealants, coatings, and leaves nothing behind) and very concentrated (little goes a long way). add a few ounces into an empty spray bottle, fill the rest with water and you have a maintenance soap for wheels too. it's one (car wash) product that stays in my detailing arsenal. grade A product in my book...

I've been using Griot's Surface wash out of the cannon for awhile now. If I need to, I'll just foam the car, then get my mitts out and go over it. I'll re-foam as necessary.

Bought some TW Max Power Car Wash. Absolutely NOT my favorite, needs washing with a different soap after to remove the residue left behind. Probably throw the rest of it in the trash.

Well it's Bilt-Hamber Touchless and Auto-foam for me right now for pre-washing and the new TWHS Slick N Slide Pure Wash for the 2BM but Reset is always here along with Bilt-Hamber AutoWash

Klasse - How does the regular hose Touchless do as a pre-treatment as compared to the pressure washer version. If you ever have time to do an left/right comparison, I’d appreciate it. Thanks.

Well the only thing is I don't have a pressure washer, so when I use Auto-foam in the future it will always be at the quarter wash. That said, I really think Auto-foam, at lighter ratio, should rinse away fine with a hose. Honestly the 2 are so close you could just buy Touchless and call it a day at this point as it works with power washer AND a hose

Been using TW SLICK & SLIDE last several washes. Very impressed with this soap. Good in the gun & bucket. It is a stand out.

Can't wait to try it in my IK Foam Pro 12

That stuff is horrible! I might throw some in my foam cannon this year for a pre-wash just to use it up. Followed up with carpro reset or Labocosmetica semper bucket wash.

1st - CarPro Reset
2nd - NV Snow
3rd - Koch Chemie GSF

1. Carpro Reset

2. Carchem 1:1900

3. Angelwax Schampoo the yellow one

Wheels. Have Bilt Hamber Auto-Wash in a foamer and finish with this especially on the brakedisc. It has corrosion inhibitors in it and also Surfex HD has. So you will don't get that slight rust on them so badly. If you can get it you don't want to get any rust on bare metal. Say that you store your vehical for a while or on the undercarrige. Get Bilt Hamber Auto-Mac as it has the most of these corrosion inhibitors in it.

I don't mess with coatings so I haven't bought any coating specific shampoos. My current go to is 3D Pink. I can't really see changing things to be honest.

I actually seen a great tip from Kelly Harris a few days about taking your car for a little run after you wash your wheels to air dry the brakes, one of the best tips i've seen so far this year. Maybe thats why my brakes squeak sometimes - it drives me nuts! My mechanic tells me its lack of use...because my car sits for weeks sometimes without being driven, outside.

I have no idea who Kelly Harris is but here's the problem with that, for me anyways. When the wheel is wet and you drive it right away to "dry it" the water runs around the barrels and out of everywhere, thus leaving streaks in the barrels. Now maybe it's just me but when I clean my rims I want them to look like they were just put on, flawless.

If you want less rusty rotors the solution is simple...Brake Buster

Kelly Harris is from the UK and represents lake country. He has some great videos actually, some of the best i ever seen. Look him up. Massively better videos then apex for instance IMO. That guy is a fraud in so many ways.

We saw damage to Lambo brakes to the tune of $40,000.00 I believe because one of us probably used something we weren't supposed to.

As a practice now, the owner does this to all of the exotics we do. Never had an issue before of since, but it sure shook him up!

What was the damage from?
