What polishing pads are best for compounding, polish, wax.Feed back please

What car are you working on
What machine are you working with
What polishes are you going to be using
Whats is your desired outcome

Best is one thing. Preferred is another.

For da, I prefer:

1. Compound - blue rupes microfiber, and green hex logic for compounding.

2. Polish - Blue hex logic

3. Sealant / Wax - red Buff and Shine

4. One step polish - Orange or white hex logic

5. Cleaner wax - white or black hex logic

6. Ultra fine polishing - black hex logic.

Great pads for DA machines:
Meguiar`s Microfiber pads
Meguiar`s foam discs

Drop down to a 5" backing plate and get 5.5" pads.

Well my preference for a traditional 8, throw free floating spindle type DA, are the Lake Country Hydrotech range.

Cyan for cutting
Tangerine for polishing
Crimson for finishing

Smaller diameter pads are going to cut more effectively than larger diameter ones

If you are looking for more cut than the foam pads offer, you can look at Meguiars MF pads.

On the Flex 3401 the Lake Country Hybrids are the ones to go for.:dblthumb2:

Have not bought a DA yet but i have tried removing swirls by hand with megs micro pads. I have megs ultimate compound, ultimate polish, ultimate liquid wax. And working with 212 Black altima coupe.

Well I think you'll find that the recommendations will change a lot depending on what polisher you decide you will be using. So I think you need to figure that out first.
