I've always said it. For every bad customer you let hit the road...you make room for a good one. Let him go. $50 is crap money if you're doing quality work.
Put it this way...we have a large venue coming up in a huge parking lot, where we'll be offering an express spray & shine service on bikes. It will probably take us roughly 10-15 minutes per bike...we are charging $50 for that. So, something that takes you hours...should be worth the money.
Aim for $50 an hour. If they wanna bring you multiple vehicles...give them a percentage off the 3rd vehicle, and the 3rd vehicle ONLY. Don't give a discount across the board cause he may have you do one...then not show up with the second and third.
