Drying Aid or Product After Every Wash?

I use either Polish Angel Spray Wax or Aguawax Duragloss. Either is fine for me.

When using as a drying aid do you use the QD or waterless wash ratio?

Should not really matter very much. ECH2O has a relatively thick consistency, so if you dilute to QD strength and use it as your drying aid you may need to wipe with a second microfiber towel to remove any residue. Less likely that you'll need to do this at the WW dilution ratio. Both should work well as a drying aid though!

My truck has the Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating V2 on it and it's pretty easy to maintain. I like to dry my truck using the McKee's 37 Turbo Car Dryer. I've been maintaining the coating with the Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer.

I'm a bit new at detailing. I have not been using a drying aid because I don't want to get 'wax' on my drying towels. For those that use drying aids, any long term issue with towel performance?

I used to wonder the same thing, and that was 1 of the reasons I was hesitant on using a "drying aid" for any vehicle.. But now that I've begun to dabble a bit with using D156 as a drying aid on customers vehicles, I haven't seen any degradation of my drying towels effectiveness.

You have nothing to worry about, in that sense.

ONR or megs xpress wax also use opti-seal here and there.

Griots spray wax is all I use, amazing stuff.

+1
I made the switch from D156 and never looked back. D156 was great but I would occasionally get streaks which required an extra wipe or two to buff. Never and issue with Griot's Spray-On Wax.

Thanks, I will give it a try.

So for doing a rinseless wash, what's your procedure....wipe down the panel with the rinseless wash, spray on your preferred drying aid, then dry? All one panel/section at a time?

If I'm working in the sun that's what I do, one panel at a time. If I'm in the garage I'll wash 2-3 panels then go back and use drying aid and dry. I use all kinds of stuff for drying aid - Uber, PB Spray & Gloss, Optimum QD, H2O Guard & Gloss but my favorite is Ammo NYC Hydrate.
