Eldorado2K, checking on you...?

I’d contact the author of that YouTube channel and let them know you’re “looking for a new Cadillac” and see if they can help you at all, seeing as how they’re profiting off the misfortune of others.. in this case a family member of Autogeek!

Glad you’re back home and recovering and keeping in good spirits! Thanks for getting back to us Eldorado2k

They profit from that video??

They profit from that video??

With over 150k subscribers and quite a few views on his/her videos there’s a good chance they can be making money from this so long as they monetized the channel/videos.

I was just making a light hearted joke though and don’t intend to derail the thread by any means.. It’s just what popped into my mind when I viewed the video knowing it was one of our own.

First I heard of this. Glad you're still around! I wish you a speedy recovery.

Eldorado - glad to see you posting more. 👍

How’s the healing going?

How’s the healing going?

The doctors said I’m a very fast healer... They also said I’ve got a high pain tolerance. Lol.

However I’ve noticed when it comes to the elbow grease required for detailing that I tend to tire much quicker now... The other day I set out to wash the Kia and decided to quit after just the wheels & tires.
That’s how I know I’m not quite 100% yet.

Glad to hear you're doing better.
Hoping you continue to progress to full recovery.

Glad your not pushing it Ric, not like there isn't going to be months and months of nice weather coming to you

Glad to hear you are recovering well Ric!

The fitness you had goes away fast when you have been laying in the hospital for some time. Then with a surgery and all they where maybe needed to be cutting in and off some muscles where they attaches. So you basicly starting from scratch to build up the muscles and also the fitness from a low level. Small steps at the time and you build it up again. That's useally the hardest to take it slow and build it up step by step. My self has always been all or nothing. And that don't the doctors and physical therapist like LOL. Not so good to do it that way either in the beginning of the healing. And I got punished with more pain when I have done it.

I’m taking my sweet time with my new car.. The way I look at it, I’m only going to get 1 chance to really sink my teeth in it and transform it from where it’s at to the cleanest 2000 Cadillac DHS in the world.
So I’m savoring every bit of it.

Btw it may look fairly good from the outside... But let me tell you there’s Alot to clean within this car. This car is completely night & day as far as outside compared to the inside. I spent nearly an hour the other day just vacuuming the passenger side carpet & seat. An hour! Lol.

Here’s what the drivers side currently looks like. [I obviously haven’t vacuumed this side yet] lol.

And just look at how dirty the engine is. I’m in the middle of cleaning the engine right now...

This is fun... No sarcasm.
Except I can’t seem to find my favorite carpet brush. Grrr.

Good luck with the car Ric. We are looking forward to seeing the transformation pictures. It probably feels good to be out there working on cars again.

You got that right!

And yea, I’m gonna try to keep everything under wraps until I’m all done so it’ll be a an atomic bomb of detailing transformation put together in 1 thread. Lol.

I may or may not tease the engine detail later today though, because it’s hard to keep everything to myself. Lol.

Ric, just curious, are you getting a set of OEM rims for it at some point

Nope. It’s interesting because I normally would’ve avoided the DHS like the plague in favor of a DTS... However this particular DHS had the cure to all the typical setbacks that always turned me off about them. The stock wheels being the biggest drawback of all..

You see, the Cadillac Deville DHS came with 16” stock wheels as opposed to the 17” wheels on the DTS. And to add insult to injury not only are the stock DHS wheels too small, but they’re also rather hideous looking. IMO all stock Cadillac DHS Devilles look like grandpa mobiles.

However the 20” wheels & tires on this DHS change everything. I love the look of the car. I like the paint color just as much as I like the wheels & tires.
So to answer your question, no I’m not interested in acquiring a set of stock wheels.

If ever a slight chance they’d have to be the DTS wheels like the ones on my previous car... But at this point it’s not really worth it to me because I like these wheels.

Big car like that handles the 20's easily, tires shouldn't be too expensive nowadays either. Btw, is there anyways you can get your new emblems off of your old car or do you think they crushed it already. I mean you just out them on and in a weird way it would be cool to have a part of the car that saved your life on the new ride, just a thought.

I know thus, that color is going to POP and I speak for everyone when I saw we can't wait to see it

That had to be the shiniest car the crusher has ever seen!
