Feedback on New Logo??

I personally think it's a bit much. The slogan (I may be wrong) almost looks like a larger font than the business name. I would emphasize the business name more.

I would also either make the slogan either a different color, or give a color outline to your business name so it stands out. Maybe use that blue to outline the letters of your business name.

I would also ditch the graphic with the world and the star. I think it takes over the logo, and pulls your eyes away from the point. I would surround the car with the business name and slogan and keep it simple. Just add some color to the font instead of the big graphic. Or maybe even add the "shiny star" to the car somewhere, instead of the world. I think that would make more sense.

Also, probably wouldn't be a bad idea to put the slogan in between quotes ("A World Beyond The Wax"), instead of between apostrophes ('A World Beyond The Wax').

I like where it's going. Just my opinion, ha. You asked! :dblthumb2:

Thanks Kris...that was one thing i was worried about is maybe the slogan was too large. That makes sense...so i may down size it a bit.

You think a blue outline would be too busy or just leave the lettering white and make the slogan smaller?

I just noticed too it wasn't in quotes, might have em' change that too.

Appreciate the feedback man, i actually just messaged you on FB about it hahaha.

I tossed around the idea of globe or no globe....i know its kinda risky going with it ...but EVERYONE else does just the straight line drawing, i wanted something a bit different, risky yes but...eh i've never been one to think inside the box...guess thats why im a little nutty

No problem man. I like the idea. I just think it's a little much right now. It seems like a couple ideas packed into one.

I would personally toss the globe all together. Bring the lettering closer in to the car. Shrink the slogan a bit. If you do that, I don't think the outlined business name would be too much. The way it is now...yeah, it would be too much.

The biggest problem for me, is that the slogan stands out more than your business name. The slogan is bigger (or at least the change in font makes it appear that way). The font for the slogan is also easier to read...so your eyes actually gravitate right towards...especially since it's lined up straight, unlike the arched business name.

It's gotta be simple, and to the point. People don't like to try and figure out logos, ha.

Hi Wills....You've come a long way....Looks a lot better than your original ideas on 11.21-22.2011, even though it seems you've ditched the Corvette idea!!!!

I'm still wondering where your Business No.'s are going, though. Also...is this a scalable flier?

:)

Bob

BOB! Man you dug up the oldies there lol. Yeah i ditched the vette, i liked the grille and curves of the old Jag im currently using. Its SUPPOSE to be scalable (according to who im having make it) And its just the logo period... I'm leaving it with no #/website as i figure that would be easy to add onto a flyer if i want it there, but easy to leave OFF if i dont want it there in the case of a hat or something where space it tight.

Looks good! I would like to see how the logo looks without the star/shine/gleam running into the words above it. Just my opinion. I like it though.

I did have them move the words up away from the rays, it helped some, but just worried now that the arch is making the name difficult to read...ugh!

That starburst thing interfering with your text might make it hard to read; I still think you need to simplify.

I agree, im working on it man!

Do you only do windows and wheels? is there a story behind the name?

I like this logo more than the "flier" looking former one that Bob pulled from the archieve.

Yeah looking at the old flier set up I'm content with where it has gone...i think its close. The story behind the name is we originally (years back) actually did window washing for a retirement community and we did wash and wax jobs (way before i knew about paint correction, ilke i said this is going back years) so i came up w/the name due to that.

Now obviously i market only detailing but our name around here has become pretty popular (relating to detailing, we still do windows for our old customers in the one retirement community but thats it) and i didn't want to change it since its known to a degree now. So thats the original story (boring right?). I guess you could say we do Windows and Wheels and everything in between them lol

I really like it. Nice work!

Thanks Garry :dblthumb2:

Cool story! Not boring at all. Im glad I asked. Good luck with the logo

lol well glad you think so. I'm sure happy it turned out that way...it was funny for the first 3 years or so we made nothing from doing cars...$30 for a wash, wax and interior cleaning for 2 ppl lol. BUT, it got our name out...slowly but surely and even though we made no $ we did decent work for what we knew at the time and just grew from there. Hoping this year to make the big jump to getting a full trailer set up with something nice to pull it around with :dblthumb2:....HOPING, like i said lol...just gotta try to keep busy.

thanks for the good wishes.

Been watching you grow for a while now and all that hard work seems to be paying off. If I can ever be of any assistance again in the future feel free to give me a shout. I might have to look you up if we make it out to Scottsdale next yr. You've been warned. LOL. :xyxthumbs:

Hey 2old, yeah i guess you have been watching me for a while now huh? We've surely been working hard trying to really get things going. Last year was a decent year, hope to do double the work this year, but thats just hoping lol. If my idea of having a trailer and vehicle with lettering/logo works out it should turn out a lot more work from complete strangers.

Scottsdale huh! You movin out here or just visiting? Would be great if you looked us up :)...any hint as to what we'd be working on :dblthumb2:
