Giveaway! Flex Changeable Backing Plate System

The fact that

1) It's lighter than my PC, so detailing for many hours isn't as tiresome
2) It's stronger than my PC, so I don't have to do as many passes
3) It does not vibrate as hard as my PC.
4) No problems so far, it's built to last, durability is A+

I don't currently have a Flex, but if I win, I'll take this as a sign that I should finally get one.

Don't currently own one but seriously considering after seeing all the advantages over my PC.

Besides some obvious ones associated with a forced random orbital, the one not on other DA's (it could) is the locking trigger so vary the speed without messing with the speed dial as much.

I love my 3401's forced orbital and less vibrations! (I have vibration urticaria, so reduced vibrations from the flex helps me correct paint without worrying about the hives!)

Also, built quality is amazing as expected + it makes very less sound as compared to other DA's that I've used(Attracts less attention and doesn't disturb the neighbors when I'm polishing at night! :D)

Hi,

New to the site and new to truly trying to detail out a car, so any equipment that would help would be much appreciated,,,

Thanks...Jeff

It'll be great if i do win this lol... since i bought a flex 3401 last week and got it this wendesday....

I was a PC user and the feature i like about the flex is that it's forced rotation, and the special handle design gives a very comfortable feeling to hold while polishing.

Favorite feature? I don't have a favorite feature. It's a Flex for crying out loud - what's not to love about it?! :righton:

J/K. I would say the power and the smooth operation. Definitely a step up from my Griot's.

My favorite feature of my flex is the sweet dreams it gives me, the comfort it provides while I spoon it at night, and the satisfaction it gives me in public as people stare at us and think "yea, that guys cool!"

FLEX XC3401 Changeable Backing Plate System

Whats EVERYONES favorite feature...the forced rotation of course! I like not ALWAYS having to change to a small pad for some areas as well...i can use part of a 6" pad on small lip areas like a spoiler or lip of a trunk and with the Flexs' forced rotation...it still continues to cut and polish...normally i'd have to change to a 4" pad if i were using a DA because using part of a pad on a DA totally stops the rotation...NOT the case with the Flex in the right situation :)

My Flex 3401 is on the UPS truck now and will be here Monday, I'll let you know my favorite features on Tuesday.

First and foremost: the build QUALITY in all the Flex line of polishing tools. Tight tolerances, well engineered, built to last, and dependable, repeatable performance.
Second: The smooth delivery of the FORCED ROTATION allows you to finish quicker or do more in the same amount of time. Does more in one pass than others.

The favorite feature of my Flex XC3401 - forced rotation and built quality!

DITTO! But really, for the price you're paying for one (compared to something like the PC or griots), you definitely SHOULD be getting better build quality. And comparitively, it just feels SO solid and non-cheap-plastic.

Forced rotation is my favorite feature. This allows me to concentrate on downward pressure without worrying about pad rotation. The only regret I have about purchasing my Flex 3401 is I didn't order it sooner...!:props:

The best feature of "my" Flex is, it was free. I won it on a drawing at a detail fest. Thanks Max. Forget what I just said, the ticket was $1.00, so it wasn't free. It's only right I get the plates to go with the machine. Other than that, I would say the power, and light weight.
