I'd like to get some recommended APC.

Most popular? Best value? Best overall?

What do you guys think?

Optimal power clean (opc) is the best, economical is, meguires apc for light cleaning

I'm going to say megs apc. <$20 a gallon, works great and can be diluted but still be very effective.

Sent from my HTC6435LVW using AG Online

Online, Meguiars d101 or optimum power clean OTC wise, zep Citrus Heavy Duty Degreaser, or purple power

I've only used a couple APCs Adam's and D101. I really like D101. I feel it can't be beat for the price $16 at the local auto body supply shop around the corner from my house. I've used it in multiple places on the car, under the hood, interiors, tires and wheel wells and I must say its worked very well for the money

I like Grime Reaper on wheel wells with a foaming sprayer. I also use Duragloss APC. On paint I'll use P21S TAW or Sonus All in 1.

I also have some D103 but I never seem to use it.

My go to is all clean+. Can be diluted 6 to 1 for gravy dirty cleaning and 20 to 1 for interior applications. I have used on tires and wheel wells. Carpet, headliners, and trim

Optimum power clean can use it on pretty much anything, even non car related things

Optimum Power Clean is the only APC I use. It is great and can be heavily diluted depending on the task. It is also one of the safest APCs on the market, in terms of risk to the surface you're cleaning and your health.

I'm about to pull the trigger on some OPC but I have one question...

Is Simple Green not good stuff? I can get this stuff anywhere and it's cheap. Just wondering before I buy OPC.

To tell you the truth, all the APCs I have tried worked well. That includes consumer brands like Hertel. There are probably bad ones out there but I have yet to try one.

I like Meguiar's APC because it can be diluted to the strenght you need. But that is probably true of any APC.

Maybe the guys could tell you why they like one brand over the other ones, that would be more useful info I think.

I use Meg's APC for the following:

Carpet and seat cleaning
Interior cleaning

I use a method that is probably different that the guys here. I start interiors with a wipedown of pretty much everything using a damp microfiber tower without any cleaning solution at all... just water. That removes something like 98% of dirt and dust. Then I clean using an other microfiber towel with Meg APC. I just do 3 or 4 squirts of APC on the microfiber and go over everything for a second time. If an area is still dirty after that, I either go with steam or I work it hard with direct APC spray and heavy rubbing. I have yet so see a stain survive either.

For carpets and seats I pre-treat the stains with a stain remover. Then I spray the APC directly on the carpet (or seat) then work the area with a carpet brush for a minute or so. Then I use the extractor clean everything. So far results have always been excellent.

Lastly, for floor mats, I usually use my pressure washer to clean them as much as possible with water. If stained I then use the stain remover on the stains and proceeds the same way I do for carpets. Major difference is the amount of water to extract at the end.

I think your technique will be a lot more important than the product you use. Interior cleaning requires a lot of energy, not a miracle product ;)

Simple green I have seen damage some metals and plastic like streaks and stains. It's not the safest stuff out there IMO. Many people recommend the zep 505 if you are looking for OTC and some places that sell body shop stuff can have the meguiars

Zep 505? That stuff is cheap at Home Depot. Is it safe for everything on a car?

I've also seen Purple Power recommended here. Is that safe as well? I have a gallon of it but wouldn't have thought it was safe for my car.
