HD Speed - Quick One Step on Ford F150

Nice work! I don't reach for Speed that often, but when I've used it, I've always been pleased with the results (for a AIO).

Nice 1 step results Frank! Looks great! Love that it is no dust, dusting can be such a PIA, it drives me nuts!

I agree Scott, I try to use products that don’t dust as much as possible.

Looks fantastic. Can you show us an update on how it looks in 4-5 weeks?

***Day 9 Update***

Today has been 9 days since HD Speed was applied to this Ford F-150.

As previously noted, this truck sits outside 24/7 so it gets its share of sun and rain.

The truck has not been washed since HD Speed was applied (5/28/18) until today. I did a rinseless wash on the hood today (6/6/18) with McKee's N-914. I used N-914 because it claims that it..."will not alter the look of your wax, coating, or sealant – McKee’s 37 N-914 simply leaves a clean surface behind"

We got a good rain today shortly after the hood was washed and I captured some pictures of the water beading.

Here's what the beads looked like the day after HD Speed was applied.

Here's what they look like today, 9 days later. The beads are not as tight.

Stay tuned for more updates.

That is why I always top Speed.

I love Speed for its correction ability, working time, low dust, and sun friendly nature. Also how it leaves the paint incredibly slick and clear.

But, (and I've never tried this.....) I am sure the protection would be short-lived as a stand alone application.

***25 Day Update***

Looks like HD Speed is pretty much gone on the hood. Still holding up somewhat on the sides.

These pictures were taken today after a heavy downpour.

You’re a dependable man, Frank. Thanks for the update.
Can you take a pic of what that hood looks like once all that dries on its own without any sort of wipedown?

Thanks Eldo!

I’ll try to take a picture.

Thinking about repolishing the hood with HD Speed and topping it with Megs UFF and testing the durability.

Speed topped with UFF is what I’ve been using for my AIO jobs for a while now. Uff plays very well with Speed and only adds about 10 minutes to the job.

The truck looked amazing after you finished. Beautiful work. I experience the same durability results. I feel like I need to do a refresher on horizontal surfaces every month or so. The hd speed is so easy to use and works so fast that it usually only takes about ten minutes to do a quick touch up. And it does smell good! Well done my friend. Phil

By the way, the original Blackfire total trim and tire sealant is on sale right now, $8 for a 16oz. Bottle. Smokin deal. Phil
