I bought a WORX 20V Powershot cordless power cleaner, anyone use one?

I found a video of someone using some kind of foam gun, any chance someone can try an Autogeek foam gun/cannon?

I bet only Worx attachments work, pardon the pun. I have that attachment and it works pretty well!

Haha I enjoyed the pun, I'm really considering getting one of these, it's a cool idea.

I'm going to be curious as to how this machine handles a soap with iron remover in it, any thoughts on this guys/gals?

I wouldn’t be sure how this would work. I like to over rinse anything with iron remover in it to be safe, at less than 1 GPM, I wouldn’t use this as the ideal method.

Would you recommend this product for car washes? Some reviews say it’s useless and a normal hose is more effective. Other reviews says it’s powerful, YouTube videos show it removing crud and dirt from concrete. I don’t know a normal garden hose that can do that.

I've been washing my car with it for 3 weeks, no problems. We live in an apartment so I don't have access to a hose so it's been great and yes, the pressure is about that of a hose but like in said, it's been a great tool for me.

If you hook up a hose to it the pressure goes up very noticeably but I can't comment on that because of my situation. I have a couple attachments for it and one allows you to install a 2 liter pop bottle on it and I will be doing this when I do WW's.

This is a great tool but just know what it can and can't do and you'll be fine. Its great when your on the road for sure, no doubt about it and I will be taking mine in a couple weeks so my car is always clean!

Thank you for that great info, I’ll be looking for a good deal come Black Friday or cyber Monday.

So when you do the WW are you filling the 2 liter bottle with WW solution and using the hydroshot as your spray bottle?

Yes, that's exactly what you do. I bought the attachment bundle because I wanted the soap dispenser that goes on the end to soap up my car before I get washing. It also has a brush attachment but I haven't used it yet, same for the window squeegee.

There's a high/low setting so if you prefer a different rate of flow there's that option as well.

How much did you pay for that? I like that is has wheels & a 5 gallon bucket built into, plus it's a 40V compared to my Worx PowerShot. Looking forward to your review but that short video made me a bit jealous

It was about $250 shipped. Definitely a luxury.

I didn't have a chance to wash the car last week. It was cloudy and looked like it was going to rain... however, it was sunny later in the day.

I'm going to wash the car this morning. Just went downstairs to my storage cage and pulled out my buckets. One bucket was cracked so it looks like I'll be doing the "Garry Dean" method rather than a two bucket wash. I have some ONR, Optimum Wax, window cleaner a few other supplies. I'd forgotten I had a one gallon garden sprayer so I just filled that up with water and Ultima Waterless wash for a pre-pressure spray soak. I'm not sure that's even necessary.

I'm hoping to head down there around 11:00AM. There's some shade back there so I should be good to go. I'm looking forward to getting this car coated. I was going to do it early on but the detailer is changing shop locations so I'll have to wait. I'm going to try and minimize washing to avoid any swirls, etc. so that I don't cause extra work (even though they'll have to do a good amount of prep work before coating the car).

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts soon!

Agree with Klasse, anyone who has the hydroshot or an alternative please give your feedback and thoughts. I really like these tools they make detailing more fun and convenient.

So, I can't give a full review of it yet. I only used it for a few minutes and ran about 5 gallons of water through it. I was working quickly due to the sunlight and tried avoid water spots which I wound up having anyway but they're all gone now.

It isn't "too noisy"... I used it behind my condo building and was comfortable doing so. A neighbor's balcony is right above the loading dock/dumpsters (nice in the summer, ugh) and nobody complained. It makes a humming/whirring noise as you spray... if you aren't spraying there's no loud pump or motor sound at all. I think it did a decent job of spraying off a lot of residual grime. If you're looking for something that would really take that off I'm not sure if this is the machine for you - you might need considerably higher psi... this goes up to 800 and won't power a good foam gun.

I initially sprayed at the lowest setting and then immediately raised to the highest. I stood anywhere from 4-5ft to 3ft or so away from my car. I followed up with a ONR wash with microfibers. Before spraying car looked dirty but during the wash the microfibers seemed to be cleaner than I remember when I was washing my previous car regularly a few years ago.

To be honest I think I'm going to use this once a month after my car is coated/sealed. I think the detailers recommend 3-4 month or so maintenance washes after the Opticoat. I'll take the car to the detailer for larger jobs and just use this for occasional rinsing/pre-wash.

The best time for a review would be during the winter right after a snow storm. I'm anxious to see how well this gets rid of salt and heavier grime.

I'll create a new thread for this device at some point.

For anyone interested in the hydroshot...

I planned on waiting to purchase this, I like to check reviews for a while prior to a purchase but I saw a post on slickdeals that I couldn’t pass up.

It’s the entire kit MSRP 180. I got the refurbished kit, 2 year warranty from Worx for 100. For this weekend it’s 15% on the kit making it 85. I also got a Paypal coupon for 5 off when using PayPal. Code is UJGYL7ZQJ5MYG9XD for anyone interested. The total was 80, or half off. At this price it was worth jumping on.

No problem! You got a much better deal than I did I paid $160 for mine

So I sent Walt a PM but I should also ask this of others here whom have the WORX PowerShot, the nut to remove where the hose goes in so you can attach a 2L pop bottle, what size is that? I'm asking because I'm at my buddies right now, thanks in advance

I just bought a 2L of diet Squirt, so by the end of the week, or sooner, I will be trying out another attachment for the Worx Powershot, can't wait to use an old pop bottle on this machine, LOL!

I was thinking the same thing, I asked my wife to get a 2 liter when she went to the grocery store so I would have it when my hydroshot arrives. This product is going to make me act like a little kid.

I just need to know what size that nut is though....anyone?

Doesn’t the top end fit into the hydroshot at the same place a hose connects to? Wouldn’t it be the same size as a hose connector? The product description says a one inch opening for the bottle not sure if that info helps?

Says 2L bottle with 1" opening, I'll figure it out, guess I need to get that basic tool set

I’m sorry for asking so many question, but one more for now. I saw a YouTube comment that ONR should not be used through the hydroshot. They said it will gum up the seals. In another video, someone was using a caustic concrete cleaner and the gun stopped working. I wouldn’t use a harsh chemical in the gun, but do you really think a rinseless or waterless wash being pumped through would cause internal damage?
