ok to get back to less head busting stuff, I got an oil stain of some sort on one of my favourite T shirts the other day while cooking. I put some Resolve stain treatment on it right away then washed it. Looked fine while wet but when it dried, the stain was still there (about 4 inch by 1 inches right on the belly).
Ok so I put some dawn on it, worked it into the fibres then rinsed it out and put it to soak in a basin with some ultra tide. Next day, rinsed it out and hung to dry but same thing, the stain came back.
Getting a bit peeved here so I went to the basement and got my Folex. Put it on there and let it soak in for a few minutes, working the edges of the stain with my fingers. Rinsed and hung to dry but next day same thing!
Next was Zep citrus at 3:1 or 1:3 or whatever. At this point, I just wanted this stain out. I hoped it wouldn't take out the colour but if it did, then at least the stain would be gone as well. Hung it out after rinsing then checked on it after an hour, so far so good but the shirt was still a bit damp so the colour was still dark all over.
Next day, there is the stain laughing at me again. I ripped it off the line and stalked downstairs muttering. When my shirt saw the OPC it stopped laughing right way. I put it on full strength and used a horse hair brush to work it vertically then horizontally. Rinsed it out well and hung to dry...
This morning, my shirt is good as new! Thanks OPC
