Incredibly Cheap Finds

I got all of this stuff at Pep Boys for $38.91!!! Here is the cost of each item:
Meguiar's SwirlX $4.90
Scotchguard Auto $1.80
Auto-Glym Shampoo & Conditioner $3.20 x3
Auto-Glym Vinyl &Rubber Care $3.20 x3
Auto-Glym Spray Detailer $4.90 x2

My Pep Boys don't carry the Auto-Glym products in store anymore, so I went to their website and placed the order. 5 days later, they sent me an email saying it was ready.

No problem! I've exhausted all the good OTC stuff from AAP in my area. We don't have any of the Meg's "pro" stuff.

BlueBeast,

That's so crazy about lowes clearance. The NXT 2.0 is $7.48 in one of my stores and $ 10.58 in another. Then it's $3 more in your store. My brushes are $4 or $5 too. Why can't a nationwide chain literally be nationwide. Oh well. Good finds...

This time of the year is when I usually get a new nozzle, because something stupid has happened during the winter with the years prior.

I got the SamsClub $9.97 Nelson firehose nozzle, but I would get this if I hadn't. 3 nozzles for $9 and they all have a lifetime warranty.

I don't know how they determine those prices. The Targets around here are crazy with their different prices.

I might check out those Craftsman nozzles. I don't trust their lifetime warranty anymore though. I have a feeling I'm going to outlive Sears by a long shot.

Great deals at Lowe's. I bought a lot of stuff there a few weeks back. Mine had the NXT 2.0 Wax with a free full size bottle of wash in the box for $7.48. I also got Meg's 16 oz QD $2.19, Meg's Wash and Wax anywhere $5.19, and I bought about $20 worth of the brushes. The brushes are ok, but nowhere near the quality of the Mother's brushes IMO. The rim and lug nut brushes are crap. I used them once and gave them to my daughter to wash her bike with. The short and long handle brushes are ok though.

I haven't used the brushes yet. It did feel like the bristles were less densely packed, but the ends are frayed to make it nice and soft like the Mother's. It sounds like your Lowe's has some awesome deals! I'm jealous.

Pretty sweet on the AutoGlym products.. There's a store by my parents house that has the HD paste kit for pretty cheap... We don't have a single pep boys within 100 miles though.

The craftsman nozzles may be a risk for the whole "lifetime warranty" but there will probably be a sears for quite some time. If not, it seems that Sears is preparing itself by selling Craftsman at Ace, DieHard at Meijer, and reportedly looking at the best location to sell Kenmore. Undoubdetly, they're trying to keep the stock price from plummeting by introducing new sales channels for their house brand products. Smart if you ask me. But, I could also see them selling the brands or even selling the products to HD or Lowes if they are going to close their doors.

I mean, Blockbuster still exists, technically...

Plus, if a set of 3 nozzles lasts for a year, and you can get a replacement a few times, then you did good for $9. I will probably get a set just because I have an obsession with nozzles and deals.

You can place the order on their site for the Auto-Glym products, and they will ship them to your house as well. If I remember, shipping was flat rate at $9.99. I looked up some of the AG products on Amazon, and what I ordered from Pep Boys came out to be $29.00. The same stuff on Amazon would have been $127.00. I would call that an Incredibly Cheap Find!!!

To bad they don't seam to have the hd wax on the pepboys website mines running low an I refuse to pay 50 bucks for it.

Never tried that but the wally world i use for supplies has the surf city hand mixed paste wax for 16 bucks if i remember correctly, normally 23 bucks. I think I will give it a try. i like the products i have used from them so far.

If you have another walmart close check there first, my local one had it for $16 also but I went to another "local" one and it was $11 there! Worth a shot! I Love the wax, very easy to use, apply, and remove! Beads pretty damn well too!

Looks like I waited too long. They're sold out of a lot online.

Stopped by K-mart and found the 3M headlight restoration kit (usually $20+ normal price) for $10 and picked up the Clay Magic Kit (Clay and QD bottle) for $8.

I see what you did there.

Be careful with those. If you turn your polisher to 6 to spin dry them, they will literally explode. Plus if you use any pressure on the pad, even the 5 inch backing plates that I use seem to eat into the pad. You'll destroy them if you use a 5.5 inch backing plate.

With all of that being said, I have two black finishing pads that I use very regularly. I also use the blue ones for Duragloss products, you know... the product that never seems to come out of pads...

Sonax Products are very cheap where I live (United Arab Emirates), some products are available OTC like shampoo, glass cleaner, spray wax, wheel cleaner, interior cleaner and the likes.. Other products are available at the authorized dealer stores, Examples:

Wheel Cleaner Full Effect (500ml)= $9
Fallout Cleaner (500ml)= $12
Polymer Net Shield (210ml)= $7
Brilliant Shine Detailer (750ml)= $9

Advanced Auto has Mothers clay kits marked down to $15.00.
