Is QD dead?

With the new waterless washes from Optimum & Ultima, is QD on the way out. Plus the spray waxes are amazing. I find myself using Waterless for in between and Spray Waxes for a drying aid. Seems like my QD;s are collecting dust on the shelf. Anyone else seeing less use of QD;s>
 
I'm getting ready to put everything except the OID up for sample/trade. So, yes, the QD is dying for me.
 
Once I use up my current gallon of FK I will be using OOC in its place. I already have a bottle of OOC in the trunk instead of detail spray.

I have done same, and I loved FK 425!

For me QD is going out.
 
I hear you guys on the FK 425. I love it. The QD still has a place for me when it comes to a lubricant while drying with my WW or on a perfectly clean surface.

I won't know the answer to the question posed by this thread until I run out of QD product.

with the dp and optimum rinseless aids the folks who make qd only-like adams
they are going 2 be hurting
 
i'll use optimum detailer until he stops making it. i love what it does at 4:1. it's versatile for use with drying, doo removal, spot clean-up, clay lube, etc. it does something crazy as a drying aid...almost makes metallics glow in the sun. it does something with the light.

maybe if i used ONR for washing i'd feel differently, since it'd be here, but i have no use for a no rinse.

Try it you might like it, especially when the temp drops outside. A waterless wash (Ultima or Optimum) can be a blessing in the garage.:buffing:
 
Now that I have zaino z2 on my car, I only like to use zaino quick detailer. So no, it's not dead for me.

I also have zaino in my supplies used it for years until now. The Grand Finallly and ultra gloss QD, have them both. I also have the Z2 and the Z5 for darker colors. I'm no longer using them but really need to use them up.

well, I for one love waterless, shine is awsome, can used it different ways, cleans very good. I plan on trying as many brands as I can, just can't afford them now. I have spent so much $ I beleive that waterless products will replace lots of other products the more they are used.

Do you like FK425 better than DG AW boosted with Polycharger Corey?

They need to develop one. Max does too. IMO DPTAW is obsolete now until it goes concentrate at a competitive price!

Its the DP Waterless Wash. I thought it stood for Tt it stood for Total Auto Wash, but I could be wrong. at $18 a qt it doesnt compete with Optimum or Ultima . These new ones perform better too IMO.
 
I prefer traditional wash over rinse-less so DQ's will be in my arsenal for years to come.

Its just DP Waterless Auto Wash ;)

So what is it that you think Max needs to develop? Are you talking about a concentrate of the waterless wash? I'm finishing up my last bottle of DP and I have the new Ultima in my cart now.

As far as QD's go, I will continue to use them as long as ONR and DP rinseless is around to mix up. Well that and I have several bottles of different QD's :D
