LATEST TOPPER POLL. EVERYTHING SHY OF CANCOAT.

He has to give a SONG AND DANCE!!! On everything he sells. whether it's in writing describing products he sells or on YouTube. He is ONE CLOWN SHY OF A CIRCUS!!! IMHO. Literally the only thing I can't buy from Clean Garage I want is the SOLO battery operated sprayers in GREY not that horrible green, you can buy anywhere. By the time I would pay his ridicules shipping rates the sprayer would cost $70
He's a TOOL!

Lol @ "Horrible green".

Under no circumstances will he ever receive a dime from me.

Yeah, pretty much.

I use the older v1 Boost as a topper on my Mustang's wheels, which are coated in NV Wheel. I too like that it washes away and takes the brake dust with it.

Boost v2 is easier to apply and glossier though, I really like it.

From what I can tell, v1 is being ran out and will be completely replaced by v2. NV products are pretty well priced in Australia, with the exception of Boost v1. Whatever is in it makes v1 certainly expensive. For context, v2 is actually $14 AUD less expensive than v1. I think that price premium for v1 really hurt it for sales potential.

Yeah I paid $50 US for 1000ML. Now thinking if I should grab another…

Ha, finally the shoe is on the other foot! I complain about the high prices of the US brands in Australia, Meguiar's and Adam's in particular. Put it this way, Megs products are on par with Carpro for price.

Lustre has about up to 6 months of durability, which is about right from what I have noticed.

I have used most of the NV line, save for the coatings (Wheel excepted) and polishing compounds. Like you, Perfect Finish has become my go to lately.

Highlights from the lineup -

-Snow and Snow+ are both brilliant soaps, a longtime favorite of mine for their slickness, cleaning ability and easy rinsing.

-Purge is an iron removing wheel cleaner, a product that I know will get the job done when extra grunt is required. Can almost provide a touch-free wheel clean.

-Boost v2 provides outstanding gloss.

-Jet is as near as a ceramic coating you can get from a spray sealant. I prefer Jet over Lustre.

-Cleanse and Nourish leather treatments, providing a lovely soft, matte finish.

-Purify is a combined clay lubricant/iron remover.

-Onyx is their tire dressing, my favorite product from the brand.

Have you tried jet over Lustre? Here good things about combo.

Yes I have.

Lustre adds supreme gloss and has the ability to fill/mask micro marring. Jet can then be applied on top of Lustre to ramp up the hydrophobics. NV recommend allowing Lustre to cure for about 2 hours before adding Jet.

Personally, I prefer using Jet as a topper to an existing LSP, I did not really notice an improvement using both as a combination. That's just me though.

I like to look at things from different angles, everything in life has a plus and a minus.

Matt is a personality that can be very abrasive. There are times when his sentiments are out of line and rude, and I take particular offence to his comments regarding professional drive, not everyone wants to climb that mountain, some are happy to play at the bottom. I get the hate. But............

He has a business, and he is in business to sell stuff. Of course he is going to show case the stuff he sells, it's his job to hype those products. The same way a detailing business would post their hard work and results on social media or on a website as a way of advertising.

What I like about his approach is that he is not just sourcing a product line, copying and pasting the manufactures description and stock images. His product listings have their story as to why he is selling them, with a comprehensive collection of independent images, backed up by a Youtube video on why and how to use them. Yes, he charges shipping, but then you get free how-to videos and independent take on the product rather than the official blurb. Granted, a professional detailer won't need that sort of information, for others it's very helpful. I have learnt a lot from those videos.

All of that sets him apart from his competitors, and I respect that. Having worked in retail for 18 years, I know how unreasonable some customers can be. From that angle, I respect that he doesn't pander to idiots, mainly because everything that a potential customer needs to know is in the comprehensive product description, the photos and the videos. Having said that, every encounter I have had with his team has been pleasant, even when an order go's wrong.

As I said, I can appreciate why people can't stand him, I get sick of it too. But I can also see the other side of the coin, and the point of difference he provides.

His product's are available in Australia at Detailing Shed :D

Yeah he’s definitely a love/hate relationship. He’s alright in my book because although he’s jerkish…. He’s usually honest.

I didn’t like his reply to complaints about his ego stubby tho….. if it wasn’t one of “his” products he probably woulda trashed it.

I see DFB is his #1 customer from the pictures posted. He should be his best buddy!

The stubby nozzle I agree with, it clearly wasn't 100% ready, it's actually been out of stock for months for that reason.

Hardly his number one customer. Having his stuff imported into Australia has not been a cheap exercise so I need to pick and choose what I believe is worth it or I can't get elsewhere. The stuff of his that I do have is pretty dam good though, if it wasn't I wouldn't be positively reviewing it. I'm not welded to particular brands either, I have cabinets full of products from a huge selection of brands, which I share my thoughts on here.

That's not a flex or bragging, just trying to explain that I buy from a lot of sources and brands and then use what enthuses me.

I know, I actually played a part in that. :props:

Made me feel valued to have done so.

Happy to further elaborate if anyone is interested.

I get you Buddy! I just know his stock well. If he carries it, it's defiantly good. He just rubs me wrong! I honestly feel he would sell more if he didn't have to right his jargon on every single item he sells and his videos are the same way. And $20 for a $15 part is a whole other wrong. Will Clean Garage not ship to you?

Got a wet sample the other day and loved it and it's ease of use and flexible application. I decided to grab a gallon since it is a hydrophobic as some of the best toppers anywhere! I haven't tried cure or Koch-Chemie - Ps002.
Reload has been good.
I was looking for a good hydro spray that last a few weeks and at $85 out the door I think it will do the trick!

Wet sample? Did you dry it with a PFM?
