This Maserati Quattroporte came in for a full paint correction and ceramic coating treatment, sporting 45k miles from 2007, the car was in fairly good shape. However, it did unfortunately suffer damage from the automated car washes.

This very attractive metallic black paint definitely benefited from the correction treatment as you will see in the following photos and now should have no problem resisting future marring with the CQuartz application! We also performed paint touch up on the front end rock chips to really complete the exterior of this Maserati.

After 28 hours of work into the vehicle as a whole, prep including IronX and full masking followed by four steps of polishing work brought the paint to perfect condition.

Exceptional work Oakes! The Port is the only Italian car that I find appealing these days. Unfortunately you have to have a mechanic follow behind you at all times. Beautiful transformation.

oh-k then. next up, my black grand prix. also with chips, and a bunch of work needed to it. just kidding of course.

btw, what the heck is ceramic coating? ive seen show cars blacker than that (with a flake job) and i never heard of such a thing. just curious...

Nice job. Always enjoy your work man! Keep it up...I'm sure you will. :dblthumb2:

Not trying to be rude, but it's a little annoying when people post spectacular work, but don't post what they used to get the results.

Im thinking about getting some of that ceramic to try out. Is it easy to apply? Great job man!

Wonderful job on that Maserati. They certainly are beautiful cars. Only other car that looks as good is the Austin Martin. All those elegant curves.

wow, that little $50 bottle will do 1 whole car????? wow eeek!

That little bottle will probably do four normal size cars. It is to be applied as thin as you possibly can.

If the paint on the car is perfectly corrected and clean it is very easy to apply. Just always think thin. If you have a thick spot or two you will be able to spot them when you roll the car out into the sun. Which you need to do right away before it flashes. Just wipe the area that is too thick with a clean microfiber to remove the excess.
Check out some of the product reviews on CQuartz. There are lots of detailed application instructions that will explain it much better.

Thanks! It won't be on a perfectly corrected car, there are some area's on my car that are so badly chipped that's it beyond correction :(

Thanks everyone!

To respond to some of the posts, the ceramic requires a fully corrected, completely bare and clean surface to apply. Depending on which product youre using of course certain temperatures and such come into play as well. With cquartz you dont want to apply it hair thin, because it does need to fully cover the surface enough to fill the microscopic voids and valleys. However you certainly dont want to plaster it on.

The four step process is as follows:

Meg105/PFW/Makita rotary
MenzSIP/yellowLCfoam/Rotary
Meg205/orangeLCfoam/PC
Menz106/whiteLCfoam/PC

Ipa wipedown x2

Appreciate the kind words!

Also did not top the ceramic, youre required to allow it to cure for 7 days after it dries no more than water rinsing no soap until then.
