Master Blaster

I just got the Air Force Master Blaster 8HP (MB-3CD) version and I am super impressed. I dried my Viper in about the same time but much more thorough and without ever taking a towel to the finish. I spent hours last year taking out the swirl marks and do not want them back.

Welcome to MBC (Master Blaster club)!

You guys ate making me want to buy one!

Does it really completely dry the vehicle? When I use my leaf blower, I still get some spots because I'm not fast enough to go around the vehicle after rinsing it down. or is that because the leaf blower doesn't have adequate power and the metro blower should fix that?
IMO the MB will solve that issue!

Funny this post should appear because I was going to start one.

I highly recommend 8HP - Master Blaster. :wow::applause:

BTW, Best price, I find, is at Gramma-Ellens for $299 and free shipping to boot. AutoGeek wants $315.

Also the talk about amp draw. I plugged into a standard socket and never popped a breaker.

I had a better deal referred to me. AnythingAuto.com with the 15% "loyalty" code for a cost of $275. including shipping.

It will pay a pro back in towel savings IMO! Get ear protection for extended use! It will cause hearing loss!

I do go through a LOT of towels. I actually just had an argument with my towel delivery service (yeah, I know...sad) because they decided to double my price all the sudden. I've been paying the same price for years...then BAM! Just like that.

I get 240 MFs dry cleaned and delivered once a month. Ridiculous, I know. Funny part is...I don't dry with them at all. Except for clay wipedowns.

I was at the Chemical Guys store today to buy some supplies and they had the little hand held blower as well as the 4HP master Blaster. The hand held blower seemed to put out more air than the 4HP Master Blaster. I was underwhelmed by the amount of forced air the 4HP put out. I wanted to test the 8HP master blaster but they did not have it on display.

So whats different with the MB as opposed to just an air compressor?

Question for those using leaf blowers. How well does it work? Does it blow dust on the car? Im curious given they don't have filters.

thanks

Basically volume. I have both types of air movers. An air compressor can provide high pressure air but is limited in CFM (Cubic Feet Minute)

The 8HP Master Blaster delivers high volume of CFM at lower but sufficient pressure to blow off the water.

Leaf Blowers work okay. It should not blow dust onto the car unless you point it at the ground. It is awkward to hold the blower up high enough to blow the water off.

Still the leaf blower does not work as well as the Master Blaster.

Hummm....AnythingAuto.com does not come up as a good site.

All I can do is share my personal experience. It was excellent. Fast delivery, product was in perfect shape. They delivered exactly what they should have and quickly. The others who had dealth with them had nothing but good things to say as well. I wouldn't worry about them.

Sorry Richy but that was not intent to comment on the business itself, I was making a comment that when I entered the address you provided, it did not bring up a website.

Regardless, John 127 provided the correct web address.

Hehehehehe. Hey, if you can't laugh at yourself...

Is it THAT much better than a leaf blower?

I'm going to be the honest one here and say no.

Ah crap this thread is old and didn't check the date. I must say IMHO the MB wasn't worth all that much money.

Pro:
- unlike leaf blowers the hose allows you to maneuver all around the little areas like a vacuum cleaner
Cons:
- Expensive
- Just as loud as a leaf blower
- Expensive
- power cord is short as hell
- the rubber tube is short also
- Its fracking expensive

Damn, I just ordered mine. I am skeptical about the power because I saw the 4HP master blaster blower and was underwhelmed. I think my Dads gas STIHL Leaf Blower might give the 8HP Master Blaster some serious competition.

I will judge for myself when it arrives. If I am not impressed I am going to return it.

Even a 50 or less blower will give the 4/8 a run for its money, this thing really is one of the top few luxury item for detailers.
