For those of you who use Hyper Dressing or PERL, how do you apply it?
I've been using an aerosol from Meguiar's and I just spray directly it on the tire, then wipe with a microfiber or foam applicator. I like this process and it seems to work pretty good for me. Will the same process work for the two I mentioned above?
Man based on that picture of you applying it I gotta start being a little more liberal with the amount I spray into the brush lol.
I just do a few baby sprays and it never leaves as much behind as in that picture. I’m probably making it take a lot longer than it needs to

I use a flag tipped brush to apply Hyper Dressing. Spray into the brush, then brush onto the tire.

If you spray Hyper Dressing directly onto the tire, you’ll wind up with overspray on the wheels and possibly the paint too.

So I wiped down my tires today and threw on some dressing, more liberal with the sprays this time.

Definitely would say that it laid down a more even coat once it dried.
I did notice something I’d never noticed on my drivers side tire, which isn’t really present on my other tires. It might be why I always think they look off to me (aside from them never “looking” clean)
Ignoring the fuzzies on my tire, if you look at it there’s like.. some type of weird texture on it. It’s on the front driver side tire, so it’s the one I see the most lol.
My rear passenger tire doesn’t have whatever it is on there. Maybe I’ll try to get it off sometime, just to satisfy my curiosity.

That is a good looking tire
It’s not dry rot, is it?
Thanks, sir.
Shoot, I hope not. I think the tires have like 15k miles on them? I'll have to go get the receipt out of the glove box and check later to make sure. They're basically brand new tires (granted, I guess that doesn't mean they're unable to start rotting so soon.)
Also, how do you shove your brush down so that you can dress the part of the tire that's touching the pavement evenly? I always end up having to move my car 1-2ft or it'll bug me profusely.

Do you drive up on them before a wash? I find sometimes when I clean tires there’s still a small dirty spot from the area that was touching the ground.
Set before washing tires. Bevel the ends of the 2X10's and set them an inch or two inside the tires to allow the outside wall of the tire free from the board and ground.
I use to have 4 pieces of 2X10 that I would drive onto. That gave me 1.5" lift above the ground.
