Wow that's a lot. Do you detail for a living?
Nope, I detail for therapy! Something about buffing a car that helps me relax.

Send your wife to the Pyro-universe forum and She will be happy that at least you don't just ignite all your collection every 4th. of July.A few of us got together few months back (including fly07sti ,281, critic, and myself), we came to a conclusion that we could open a a detailing store with all the stuff we collected over the years. :dblthumb2:
I agreed in unison with those who thinks "could never have too many towels" but unfortunately...my wife thinks otherwise. She thinks what some of us do in regards to detailing is a sickness.Im the MAN
Those are orange Eagle Edgeless from TRC. 240 of em.
I just wanted to give you guys one last update....I promise this timeI just placed my order with Microfiber Tech. I honestly chose to go with them over The Rag Company and *cough* Autogeek solely based on price. I purchased 8 different towels (3 each to get the first whole sale discounted price per a towel). I spent a little more then I had planed, but I'm looking forward to trying them all out and seeing which work best for me. Probably will take me a few months to getting around to using all 8 different types....haha. Thanks again for the feedback guys!
Soon your collection will look like mine.

....I have a quick question on caring for them....
...but I usually only run a load when I have a whole bunch to save on the cost of running the washer/dryer.
Felt bad ordering 24 towels?? I don't even know if I've ordered less than 30 at a time for myself from MFT..... (Did buy my girlfriend a drying towel once though).Nothing against you, but I sure hope not! I felt bad enough buying 24 towels. Be a good to test to see which one(s) I like the best though.
Now that I will soon have nearly $100 worth of fancy new microfiber towels, I have a quick question on caring for them. I always keep my microfibers that I use for applying wax, removing polish, and applying quick detailer separate from my other towels used for cleaning trim/chrome, interiors, or dirty jobs. I even wash them separate. I already have Blackfire microfiber cleaner and restorer for washing them, but was wondering how you guys went about drying them. I know air drying them is best, but I usually only run a load when I have a whole bunch to save on the cost of running the washer/dryer. No clue where I would hang up 15-20 microfibers to dry. My dryer has a low heat setting that I have been using and a "fluff" (no heat) setting. I don't think they would dry just tumbling in the dryer with no heat. What do you guys do??
Congrats on your first, of MANY orders from Ian, Dan and company.
Three words, USE A LOT when you use towels. Running a washer and dryer cost pennies. Especially compared to what towels cost. I agree with ya', that you should keep your 'dirty' towels separate from your paint quality units, but that doesn't mean you should only use 2 or 3 when doing your vehicle(s). Two reasons for using a lot of towels, 1: You're always working clean - 2: You're building a decent size wash load.
Wash with your chosen detergent, (with at least warm, if not
hot water) do an extra rinse, extra spin. Drying with heat isn't going to hurt them either. Medium heat at least, and if you have a 'moisture sensor' in your dryer just let it decide when they are as dry as they need to be.
Now I don't have 240 (orange) Korean towels, (although I do have 50+ of the gray edgeless from MFT that I *MUCH* prefer over the orange ones), and I can tell you that washing and drying them will not hurt them. If you've used one during
compounding, polishing, or even LSP wiping the chemicals are all similar enough to be washed together. Just keep your really dirty ones away from your paint quality and you're good.

I read that too and was confused....Just realized something....
You got wholesale pricing on ONLY 3 towels (of one type), and only 24 total? That's wild!
OTOH.... I know Ian offers (wholesale) accounts to anyone that wants one, just saying you're in business. The *REAL* discounts though start with bigger orders. Try a case of 360's and they are SUBSTANTIALLY less... easily buy one, get one free (when compared to <10 at a time). .![]()

Right on man! Both companies have great towels. I usually buy from TRC because I don't have to pay sales tax or shipping. And when it comes to price, the more you buy, the cheaper they get. Soon your collection will look like mine.
What towels did you buy from MF TECH?
