Geez already coming apart? I have some AutoZone cheap MF towels that have been through countless of washes, still holding strong. They get beat to death to, use them for wheels & tires, interior, engines etc.
I had a feeling those edges wouldn't hold up. Ah well. I'll still pick some up.
If you can't get to Costco MFs, then bring them to you. Go here
Microfiber Towels 16" x 16" Ultra Soft Microfiber Towels 36 Pack 350 GSM | eBay
I always say they're like a rite of passage to every Detailer.
I got some of Car Pro's Angora's & BOA's. Man are these so soft. The Angora's I used for rinseless and waterless recently, I don't think I'll be reaching for anything else. They are Korean.
I just ordered up a bunch more. Softest towels I ever owned. :dblthumb2:
I gotta agree. I think the Angora may be the softest microfiber I have ever felt!
Soft doesnt necesarily mean its effective. However when it comes to rinseless washes & QD/Spray Waxes, higher GSM towels are the way to go.

I should also add that the Angora's were the most effective that I have ever used for waterless and rinseless. It is 455 gsm. You just have to hold one and use it to see.
Have you used Autogeek's "Woobie" or the Duragloss Polishing Cloth?
If so, how do the Angora's compare? It's just hard for me to imagine something softer that Woobie's.
I'll have to look into them, as I do alot of rinseless and waterless washing. Currently im using a neon green towel not found here at AG, its a 600 GSM.
Drew,
Some Wal-Marts are carrying a new series of towels...like those you showed that are new also...but these "other" towels I'm talking about are charcoal gray. They offer them in about 3-4 types for different purposes, but all have at least one charcoal gray side. They are extremely nice towels for the money(and Wal-mart), and are much better than the new ones you have pictured.
I have only seen the towels I'm refering to at only one of our local stores, thus far at least. However, all the ones I've been to are carrying towels like in your photo's and while they're nice, I'm not that impressed with how they feel and what I see of construction.
I have some good towels that I bought from towel pros. Rob is great to deal with. However, wholesale club stores prices are hard to beat.

how are those towels???
I use adams towels now and they are great.....but always looking on great stuff at great prices. The "metropolitian edgeless" has a great price but is it a superior towel??
Dear Friends
I received CarPro's BOA towel today and am very impressed by its quality. I already have too many microfibers to justify a large microfiber purchase, but in a perfect world, the BOA towel would be my go-to workhorse.
Are the good Wal-Mart ones in the automotive or household section?
