Mr. Pink conspiracy theory

I just bought some Honeydew. I have a feeling its not going to be better than Adam's, Lusso or Optimum so I will probably be disappointed.

I can't believe what I read... it is one of the best soaps I've used. I've never used that particular wheel cleaner but I love Diablo and the sticky citrus.

Have you ever tried optimum car wash? If not, you should give that a go.

It's unnatural how long the suds will stay around. The foam head from my wash bucket will still be on the grass HOURS after I've dumped the bucket out.
 
Sheesh...I have it, use it and really like it.
 
I have some pinnacle wash... I didn't think it was that good. The smell gags me... yuk
 
I'll chime in again...

I am a soap addict. My collection consists of;

Mr. Pink (2 bottles)
Honeydew Snowfoam (2 bottles)
Maxi Suds II
Citrus Wash and Gloss
Glossworks
Pinnacle wash
DP wash

There are a few more, but i forgot.

In summary, i enjoy every shampoo i own and CG makes great shampoos.

Its gonna be VERY tough to beat out a soap like Lusso or Optimum. Those products are really a step above everything out there for a washing experience. Especially the LUSSO shampoo. That stuff is amazing. Insane lubricity and foam as well as cleaning power. Same goes for Optimum. i actually stopped using optimum because it foams TOO much. lol. I was finding pockets of foam days later under my hood and in the exterior air intakes.

When it comes to soaps I prefer the ones with the most cleaning strength. Some soaps have amazing attributes. Wolfgang is a perfect example. Amazing scent, thick lather, great foam and dilution ratio, but the cleaning strength is subpar when compared to others.

I have literally tried about 90% of the soaps sold here at autogeek and elsewhere and I continually keep falling back on Dodo Born to be Mild. That soap has really potent cleaning strength. You only have to lightly wash the area one time for perfect results. Its just a bonus that the foam, lather and scent are perfect as well.

Ultima shampoo is also another very good one, but It likes to sheet itself off the paint before you can really agitate it well , when compared to Dodo. So I stick with it for wheels and whatnot. Where ultima works really well is using it on filthy areas of the car like wheels and engine bay. Its one of the only soaps that doesn't fall flat on its face when dirty wheel brush's are added into the bucket of mix. Still stays foaming and cleaning power is not reduced.

and thats really all that matters !! Its all about your own preference and user experience. Many times have I bought the product of the month only to ask myself how the hell everyone on the forums like the said specific product so much.

I use optimum wash and ONR combo love the results.
 
For those that dislike it, what kind of dilution are you using? This is a key variable.
 
Also what kind of water do you have? Hard, soft, well, spring, city... etc. These things all play a factor.

Seems like your dilution is on par, Chemical Guys says 1oz per 2 Gallons so for three gallons of water 1.5oz would be correct. Assuming that you are using a bucket that does not have gallon measurement markings on it I would recommend getting a gallon jug and a permanent marker and adding some to it. I would also make sure that what ever tool you are using to measure your product in is actually correct. Also I find it best to fill the bucket almost all the way with water then add the product, and then fill the bucket the rest of the way using the jet setting, this helps to make the foam and mix the product.

Using the USGS water hardness scale, see below. Your water is right on the border of being pretty hard which means that water spotting and mineral build up could be an issue. Might be a good idea to mix your water and test the water hardness after you have added Mr.Pink if it is still to hard try adding more product to see if this helps to make it softer. If it does not I would try to find a shampoo that helps balance the PH better.

USGS Water Hardness Scale:
Soft = 0 to 60 ppm
Moderately Hard = 61 to 120 ppm
Hard = 121 to 180 ppm
Very Hard = >181 ppm

My 5 gallon buckets are marked precisely and I also use 1 oz measuring cup to add my soap to the buckets. There is a certain bit of precision to everything I do.

I have experimented with multiple different dilution ratios when using Mr. Pink. And come to the conclusion that it is by far the WORST soap I have ever used. With that in mind I am comparing it to Optimum, Ultima, DG, CG wash and Gloss, CG citrus red, Poorboys, Lusso, Megs Ultimate and gold.
 
Hard to know what the true dilution ratio should be when the videos CG releases has Masterson dumping a wad in the bucket and then just a little bit more.

Perhaps the dilution ratio is "Ample."

Before I got my sports car last year I had no idea how many different soaps were out there. Let alone that the term "car shampoo" even existed. Autozone had 5 or 6 different ones, and I liked the Turtle Wax one with the little exfoliating bead looking thingies in it. When I found this site and saw all the different soaps I was like JEBUS. I was doubly blown away at the in-depth debates on the forums about soap.

I've haven't tried Mr. Pink *yet* but I bet compared to that Turtle Wax stuff I used it would be godly lol. I went to the CG store in Santa Ana, them having like 8 different soaps didn't make my decision any easier. And their YT videos with Greg making all sorts of cute sexual innuendos doesn't help much.

They could stand to thin out their product line a bit, and they could also make more informative videos. I love the stuff I bought there and will be returning soon, but it seems like all they care about is having a dozen products that do the same thing and trying to be funny in videos.
