New 2014 Camaro and Camaro z/28!!!!!

I want the two main muscle cars to stay retro. Looks nicer. Maybe even recreate the 60s mustang interiors with the color combos. Its annoying when every manufacturer goes non retro and sales drop

The front end is more aggressive, like the hood treatment and tails are more inline with the 69" which the car is styled after but once again, what's the obsession with gloss black wheels, terrible! (Now BOB, I'm referring to the finish of the wheels only here, let's make that clear, ok) The seats look great, welcome to how design seats in a performance car GM, even Dodge knew how to do this over a decade ago with the $20k Neon SRT4, LOL!

Not a fan of the Camaro, very bloated car IMO but I hope they sell every last one of them:dblthumb2:

Based on seeing your videos and reading your post, I'm 110 percent sure the dentistry thing will work out.

:xyxthumbs::xyxthumbs::xyxthumbs:

That is VERY kind of you to say, I really appreciate it :)

My wife was going to build and order a red crystal Camaro at the end of the year, but now that I showed her what the 2014 looks like - she ain't happy. She does not like the hood vent, or the "boring" rear end (said it reminded her of late-'80s/early-'90s Japanese cars). Why is Chevy so good at making cars look bland?

Hey, this is the same company that butchered the rear of the Corvette! Its also the same company that's bringing back the G8, in a way and coming up with what had to take an entire week for its name.....SS! The new version of the G8, aka the Commadore, is called an option package, LOL! So someone asks what kinda of car you got and you tell em' an SS and they say, ok you opted for the perf version but what's it called, LOL! That's very creative GM, must have been the same group of people that ok'd the rear of the Corvette.

Here's what I'd to know too, why does the new Regal turbo and GS both get AWD and a drop in hp (by 11 hp) and torque stays the same. Let's see, AWD makes it heavier but let's drop the power down and keep the torque where it is to move what's going to be about 3-500 lbs heavier, brillant!

Also, where's your hot hatch GM, you don't have a single one, well, not here anyways. All these "track cars" your building will never see the track, well most of them but what they will see is the "stoplight wars", I mean they're muscle cars. Its time to move into the 21st century and build some small cars with good power, handling and braking (see Focus ST for example)

I think what GM is doing with the Corvette is trying to make it more appealing to younger buyers. I can tell you that I love the new lights on the Corvette. But the new tail lights on the Camaro just looks horrible :(

I'm going to say $59,995 before destination charge. :dblthumb2:

But that would be more expensive than the Camaro ZL1, and it has lower performance than the ZL1. :dunno:

My guess would be price tiers according to performance and since we already know the prices of 3 of the 4 trims:

V6: 25-30K

V8 (SS): 32-36K

Z/28: 45-50K <--- My guess

ZL1: 55-60K

Crazy that we live in a world where you can buy a 60K camaro lol!

There will be heavy dealer mark-ups on the z28 for a while.

Anyhow, I'm really liking the new z28! So cool they put the LS7 in it!

I agree for the most part, but being on the Camaro forum, I know of several dealerships that always only charge msrp.

Still like you said, as long as there are stupid buyers, there will be gouging.

The ls7 is beast!!!

I think between 43-55k range.
Anything higher would be stupid since the zl1 sells at 55-60 and has 80hp more and better suspension.

Only ~ $89,000 for a 2013 COPO! ;)

I'll guess that the sticker-price for a 2014 Camaro Z/28 assembled
in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada will fall somewhere between the
2013 ZL1 and the aforementioned 2013 COPO.

LS7's don't come cheaply!

For further price-increases...
Just wait 'til 2015-2016 when the next gen. Camaros are assembled
at the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant...
"Production consolidation" <<<(GM-speak) with the Cadillac CTS/ATS.

-Then there's the inevitable price increase for the: Z/28 Convertible.

:)

Yeah but that COPO was a 9 second car with no mods at the drag strip. The engine in that car was just a small part of the whole package. Not to mention they only made a handful of those vs the thousands of z/28s they will make. And as we know, the more production, the less the cost.

I think that the price of the z/28 being between the zl1 and the COPO is just unrealistic because now the z/28's competitor would be the corvette and the corvette simply blows it away in terms of performance and value.

What do you think about that?

P.S. Any thoughts on the new corvette Bob? Do you think you may get one? Feed back please

Thanks for asking, Roshan.

-Have to wait and see if any of the near-future C7 Corvettes
will receive an LS7/LS9...or facsimiles thereof.

Any thoughts on the new corvette Bob?
I'll have to wait until they hit the showroom floor for me to make
a determination, one way or another, on the C7's.
Maybe even only after a couple of years of their being produced.
(I'll say: The rear-clip/tail-lamps have an unusual "Corvette-appearance")

Do you think you may get one? Feed back please
-We probably will just go ahead and enjoy what we have.

-It would be awful hard for me to give-up the one that's:
Supercharged...It's: Heinous, to say the least.

That's exactly what I thought as I was watching this car spin. I was going, no, no way, cant be, omg they just put a 2000 prelude rear end on a 2014 Camaro. good job GM
