New forum upgrade!

I just tried copying and pasting some links from Mike's list of detailing articles to try and help some one, you know, the bold blue ones from this page: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...722-car-detailing-articles-mike-phillips.html

And they didn't come in bold or blue or anything, this is how they came out:

http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...55-why-s-important-clean-your-pads-often.html

That's how they should appear. Maybe we can make all the inner links on posts blue. Let me take a look.

:bump:

RBenard. any idea on this?

Isn't a known issue, it should be something working fine, I'll check it and possibly we'll move over a better search engine for the forums.

Following up on this...is there any way to get inserted links to be a contrasting color? I know at one time it worked that way but it seems to go away on every forum upgrade, I believe it must be a setting.

Yes, just replied above.

Anyone else not getting replies anymore? I checked my settings... even clicked it off and clicked it back on (instant notification) but didn't seem to help.
When I do get a notification it's a week later.

PM's are taking days to arrive and have received multiple duplicates.

Yea, I stopped getting replies about a year ago myself.
Also thought it had something to do with my settings.
Really miss that feature.

Below is something else I noticed that is different.

When I click on the "+Reply to Thread" tab there's no function to allow me to underline, italicize, or change to bold and colored fonts as well as change font styles and sizes. Can we please get that feature back as well? I think those features are still available when I create my own thread, but not when replying to a post. At least I can't find it now.

Thanks!

EDITING my post...

I noticed that if I decide to edit my own post that I can then have access to changing fonts sizes, colors, bolding, etc., like this, but not until I edit my post. Can't access it through quick reply, or clicking the reply tab. Only get access through the edit post function or when creating a new thread. We should be able to access these features any time we post unless we do a simple quick post.

I'm glad they finally fixed the color of the embedded links, less happy that they are BOLD.

As far as your "editing" issue, I don't remember if we used to have those features in the "Quick Reply" box, but you can certainly access them by clicking the "Go Advanced" button under the Quick Reply box.

You misunderstood what I was saying...err...maybe I didn't say it in a clear enough manner. LOL!

I can access them if I edit my own posts, but in this post's instance, I simply clicked "reply" under your post (right next to "reply with quote") and it takes me automatically to the quick reply box to type...and there I cannot use the functions I listed above. Same thing if I scroll to the last post, look on the bottom left side of screen and the darkened tab that says "+reply to thread"...the functions there either and it takes me to the same quick reply box even though I didn't want to use the quick reply. In either case I cannot italicize, bold, change color or size of the fonts. I only see that if I edit my post or start a new thread entirely.

After you get to the initial reply box, go to the "advance" tab.

Let me try this, COLOR.

My name is Bill of maybe this way, Bill. Bill.

Not as easy as it was, but it's still there.

OT: How's the shoulder doing?

Bill

Ok...so I clicked on "go advanced". Wow...that was hard. LOL! Thanks.

Shoulder's better that it was still some minor aches and pains and every now and again a few rough ones. Ended up tearing my bicep on the same arm and had to have that fixed too. Good memory! Thanks for asking.

when trying to upload pics, they come out really low quality. Suggestions? (I searched "posting picture" and nothing useful)

Any word on fixing the notifications?
I literally just got one for something someone posted about 2 months ago. This is making me not even bother checking and coming on here :(

1.) Can anybody post pics from an iPhone? (I had no problems posting pics from my iPhone with the old software.)

2.) Cannot do a search using three numbers or letters, like "915" or "gel" but the old software would let you search using three numbers/letters. Can we get the search to accept three characters?

THANKS!!!

Yes, I can post pics but it has to be done through the Tapatalk app.
