I like the floor mats! Not so much the smoked tail light's BUT that's where the personal interest comes from when modifying a duel cab ute or Big rig or Truck

I have to ask you won't be blinding other road users, with the LED conversion kit
as the car did not come with these from the factory.

No worries asking. No. These aren't even the headlights. These are more like daytime running lights. They just look cool. They aren't super Brite. Just very white.

Many people upgrade from halogen to HIDs which are much brighter.

2000 stock truck headlights suck compared to my 2014 corvette lights. No comparison on brightness.

Yeah technology has come a long way my brother's AMG has Matrix headlights,
And my sister in law has a 2022 Mazda CX5 with LED headlights and fog lights.

I live out of town but in general here in Tasmania we have a hell of a lot of wildlife and our roads are FULL of potholes, or as i call them " Sink Holes"

I've never even heard of matrix headlights. Headed to Google

Will be a game changer when they are allowed in the US. NHTSA hasn’t allowed them yet, worried something so technological might fail…and they have a point but I’m sure some redundancy or fall back lights could be built into the technology.

Started removing the lower body trim as I plan to plastidip this truck and I want the smooth look.

Well when this truck got a cheap repaint they used the 2 sided tape plus ran 2 beads of some strong glue down the middle.

I have my work cut out for me. I neglected to take a picture of the glue. Just a before and after.

Only did 1 piece so far. Used a heat gun and eraser wheel View attachment 76522View attachment 76523View attachment 76524

Bad paint question??? 1st major challenge on project truck

I've dipped 2 of my cars. This new project truck is already presenting me with a challenge.

My mom had a cheap repaint done a few years ago. When I went to remove the lower moldings I found the problem.

Instead of 2 rows of 3m tape they used 2 rows of double sided tape plus 2 long beads/lines of some type of squeeze adhesive. My guess is construction adhesive

Anyway the adhesive is pulling off the paint.

I still have to remove a few more pieces and I'll try to be as careful as possible.

Wondering how big of area around the peeling paint should I sand and prime before dipping

Using heat and eraser wheel plus 3m adhesive remover currently.
