**************Any experience on how it feels with the smaller plate? I was told to put a smaller backing plate on my GG to minimize the vibration and to make it easier to control. I found that statement to be true.
I have only used my Flex once for a few hours and I found that, at times, it walks on you in an aggressive manor. Any chance the smaller plate helps?

"Walk" the main reason being that the pad is not being held flat to the surface. If the pad is saturated or sticky with drying compound or removed material the problem will be exacerbated. The forced rotation of the Flex amplifies any error in technique or material useage. A clean pad, re-application of polish and attention to technique is a better solution.
