TO: Tundra_10...Thanks for all of these excellent "new word(s) of the day"!! :dblthumb2:

Try this one on.

Vicissitudinal patterns concerning the ebb and flow of the wax/sealant debate on AGO has left many forum goers in confusion. Being au courant in the release and reformulation of various product lines add to this confusion. Thusly, furthering the flexuous nature of this debate.

TO: VT...... :goodpost:......:wow:.....:props:

To be Au Courant regarding "detailing" today's modern BC/CC paint systems, one must transmogrify their understanding that: The processes, chemicals, tools, etc., have dramatically changed from the previous ways that one can detail SS paint systems.

One must alter their approach...make this vicissitudinous variation between BC/CC and SS paint systems...in order to fully comprehend and employ the "Best Practices"...Be aware that the concatenations of processes and products may not be the same as before!

The road to perfecting these principles may be flexuous, indeed...But the results of a highly polished vehicle's CC is most enjoyable for Detailers and their customers.

:)

Good to be: "Back in the Saddle Again"

Tundra 10, this thread is the highlight of my AGO day. I read this thread for several days before actually participating.

The suggested concatenation of this thread with the G R E A T Idea thread is what led me to participate here.

Question? Is the Green Hole still in existence in Cola.? What brings this question to mind was your kayak hobby. Back in'79-81 me and my buds would go cliff diving at the old rock quarry not far from Riverbanks Zoo, called the green hole. Then later on , my first kayaking(and also the last, due to the numerous copperheads sunning on the rocks) was also below the zoo in a bend in the river just before the whitewater.

I have not spent any time in Cola. since my daughter was 4 years old and she's 3rd year pre-med now. Enough rambling for now, as I have a busy day tomorrow (today) scheduled.
Happy detailing...

-Thanks for your kind words...and concern, my friend.

-Not to worry, though...I was not stricken by some "-itis", or
itinerarily chanting nembutsu...Just on a brief sabbatical with the Wife.

-{Looking back on this connubial sojourn now, though, I realize I was indeed stranded somewhere in a:
'Marvelous-Imaginary-Realm', where achieving enlightenment proved to be an erstwhile venture.}

Tundra 10, this thread is the highlight of my AGO day.

^^^^:iagree:^^^^

The only drawback, for myself, is the need to be macrocephalic...with a corresponding encephalon capable of assimilating and comprehending this variegated and vast amount of "new words of the day"!!

@Tundra_10: A contribution to your: "new word of the day" thread...

Delassation

Definition: Overly tired; fatigued

After tirelessly detailing vehicle after vehicle this week, the Detailer found himself suffering from a state of delassation...Wondering if he'd have the strength to follow through with the same regimen week after week.

FUNX725, I am glad to here that you and the other half spent some R&R together, especially knowing that something did not happen to you. I was about to make an emergency trip home and on the way I was gonna go looking for you!

New Word of the Day: 3/2/12

Hyperadrenocorticalism (hi per-e-dre'no-kor'ti-ke-liz'em)

Definition: excessive secretion of adrenocortical hormones, especially cortisol.

Holy crap what a word! lol I know this one is totally useless and will probably never ever EVER be used in the future, I just thought this one was fun because it was so gargantuan!

Heck I cannot even think of a clever sentence that has to do with detailing for this one haha. I might post another later on. I do not want anyone to feel cheated.

Bedizen: To dress up or ornament with more ostentation than taste.

The Ferrari was bedizened with ostrich skin interior and gold plated curb feelers.

Thanks for thinking about us!

We were pretty close-by...But...
Due to experiencing the full effect of being overcome by
hyperadrenocorticalism...

Would we have had the good senses to have harkened to your search efforts?? :D

{Plus...No need for any bedizening (Thanks, Blackthorn One) in "situations" such as this, either!!}

Bedizenment, yes.

Specious: apparently good or right, but lacking any real merit.
The politician's promises were specious.

Blackthorn, thank you for the contribution! It is much appreciated!

FUNX725, I knew I could count on you to think of something for that word! HAHA!

New Word of the day: 3/2/12 (dos mode)

Chicanery (shi-key-nuh-ree)

Definition:
1. trickery or deception by quibbling or sophistry
2. a quibble or subterfuge used to trick, deceive, or evade

Is it too far-fetched to assume that a detailer using glaze and emphasizing its ability to beautify paint is a type of chicanery?

To answer your above question: No.
Whenever a person commits such acts of quackery and highway-robbery, a wish that a pox be upon them for their thievery; that they may catch dysentery...or at least have to undergo chemotherapy, could be in order. If caught red-handed, that would be an excellent time for them to immediately check into a monastery.

Enchiridion: A small handbook or manual

Mike Philips Auto detailing enchiridion is now available as an audiobook.

Loquacious: talking or tending to talk much or freely; talkative; chattering; babbling; garrulous: a loquacious dinner guest.

Inveterate: : firmly established by long persistence

: confirmed in a habit
This is obviously the place for the inveterate auto detailer.

My apology for my haste in posting.

Many so called detailers resort to chicanery to entice prospective customers into enlisting their services. After realizing that the amount invested in online products would not provide a respectable return, some resort to the use of specious spray wax products, used in conjuction with a filler laden AIO; all the while, charging unsuspecting customers for a full three step process on their commuter car.

Imperturbability: Merriam-Webster - marked by extreme calm, impassivity, and steadfastness

My loquacious posting on threads, like that of a tagger gone wild, seem to irritate some AGO'ers. However, being an inverterate poster is both enjoyable and time consuming on a dreary Friday night.

Using my phone i cannot effectively give the proper thanks, until then thank you guys for your additions. Looks like we got a new guy that is bringing "spiked punch" and "special brownies" a welcome to any great party!

For a "new word of the day"...03.03.2012...I'd like to submit:

Xesturgy

Definition: To Polish

My fate in life was probably established when, and due, to my first grade teacher Mrs. Gettzinger selecting my shiny red apple, (out of all the other well-intended wannabe pomologists' offerings), as the one that exhibited the most xesturgical skill.
