Flapdoodle (flap-dood-l) <<< Isn't that just a fun word? :xyxthumbs:

Definition: nonsense;bosh

Source: dictionary.com

The ill-informed detailer spoke of flapdoodle as he/she tried to convince a customer that prep work was secondary to a high-end paint sealant when speaking of the overall look of a detail. Unbeknownst to him/her, the customer was a member on AGO and quickly dismissed the detailer in search of one that had higher standards and understanding of paint correction.

Proven to be methods whereas mankind could attain 'flight'.

^^ Thank you for your contribution FUNX725!

Hey everyone I am sorry but the NWoD will be late today, very late in fact. I have a very important email to write and time is of the essence with it and I really need to get it completed before I leave for work in approximately 15 min. I am sorry all and I will get one up tonight, but as I said it will be later today.

In the interim:

For 05.24.2012...

{NOTE:Not so much a new word, but the letters:}

pH

Definition: "Power of Hydrogen". That is to say:

-The pH of a solution is a measure of the molar concentration of hydrogen ions in the solution and as such is a measure of the acidity or basicity of the solution.
-pH's numerical value is defined as the negative base 10 logarithm of the molar concentration of hydrogen ions:

pH = -log10[H+]

*[Source: Georgia State University; Physics Dept.]

-When faced with cleaning the different types of wheels that vehicles are now being shod with, Detailers must be able to discern not only the "type of wheel",
but also the "type of wheel-cleaner" is best suited for this task. Often the pH of a wheel-cleaner-solution is paramount, in this particular decision-making-process,
to ensure no harm will befall the wheels, or the Detailers themselves.

Thank you for the addition FUNX725! Lately I just feel inundated with so much stuff I am running out of time for one of my favorite parts of the day, posting to this thread. =(

Similitude

Definition: The quality or state of being similar to something;

On this day...May 26th, 1896:

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was first published.
The average price of the 12 initial stocks was 40.94

-The only similitude, of note, is that General Electric is the only company still in existence and trading under original name.

-Some people cite there is a striking similitude between Zaino and DuraGloss detailing product-lines.

-Everyone have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day holiday.
Please keep in mind those that have made the ultimate sacrifice so we may enjoy the freedoms they fought to preserve.

Effusion

Definition:
1. An unrestrained outpouring in speech or words
2. The act or process of being poured out
3. Something that is poured out
4. The flow of a gas through a small aperture under pressure, especially when the density is such,

Distrait

Definition: Divert attention; confuse; distracted; unfocused

A detailer should: "remain focused on the task at hand" ~ MP...and never be distraited by any outside influences. If not, and something about the detailing process(es): "Goes South"; there just may be an unwelcome, but perhaps expected: "effusion of expletives"~VT...From a dissatisfied Customer/Client!!

Been there, done that. Not trying to go backwards. Thanks for your advice and suggestions. I read your ph post and I see the light.

As for the distracted driver, I have seen countless goings on in passesger vehicles through the windows of class 8 vehicles over the years. The driver in that story certainly ranks up there with my personal favorites.:confused: WTH.

Hope that you had an uneventful Holiday weekend yourself.
I shoveled and raked 4 yards of shredded mulch around mom's place Saturday and have the back spasms to prove it. My 9am (coating) cancelled (til after Ga. trip) after I showed up this morning, much to my relief. Left SC at 10pm and pulled into the drive at 5:49am.

The good news is that the distrait personna that I have been exibiting these 6 months or so, has been lessened by the progress reported by Mom's doctors, as she progresses through her chemo.

To my "thread friends" I would like to apologize for my absence in this area. Even my "skittish" last posts were probably indication that there was change in my life. In fact there is, I now have a girlfriend who consumes the extra time, albeit not very much, that my job does not already take away from. In addition, I have been working a little more then regularly, that is a story in it self, so I literally have not had a day or 2 yet to catch up on sleep because my days off I am running around doing this and doing that. I just washed my truck Saturday which it had been well over a month to its prior wash if thats any indication of my free time. It has so much iron contamination on it. I even tested out IronX on it to see how it worked, it was "o.k." to me, maybe its effectiveness would have been better on a dry vs wet vehicle? Regardless, my time lately has been really limited and unfortunately something has to give. I wish I could add more hours on the day, however my powers are limited to flatulence, belching,juggling 3 balls and flipping my eye-lids inside out. I am going to do my best to add from here and there and I hope that you guys do not feel it necessary to post every day in my absence. I just wanted to hop on here to tell you all what was going on so you do not think I went AWOL.

Best Regards,

Michael aka Tundra_10

Never used the product, but many here pre-wet the vehicle. On the same note, could it be sap mist?
