No longer have to polish my C5 z06...

Wrong wrong and wrong.

Lol @ "15 footer at best"

I'd say go for it. I wrapped my Sti in 3m's Matte White (Check Avatar) and 99% of people never knew it was wrapped. People would walk up to the car all the time and give it a feel and were amazed that it was a wrap everytime! It was a 1-Footer and beyond lol and trust me, I'm about as anal as it gets! The only areas there were seams was my rear wing (cannot be done in one piece) and the foglights. EVERYTHING else was done in one piece without a seam. The car was completely disassembled and all edges were tucked at least a 1/2" around. Your 'vette is a much easier wrap than the Sti I can tell you that.

3m's Satin White Pearl is a fairly New color which wasn't out at the time I wrapped mine or I would've chosen it. Now they have Matte white, Satin White, and Satin white pearl :(. Funny because my Sti's paint color is also called Satin White Pearl ;). It's stunning and I highly recommend white. My wrap is over a year old and still looks amazing. I had a little staining from a car the sprayed a puddle of oil on me but it was because I left it on there for a week. All wraps I do from then on are CQuartz coated and ReLoad topped. Maintenance couldn't be easier, believe me.

As far as "imperfections" go... It all depends on the installer. I'm curious to hear what issues Jpegs is talking about? I can tell you my wraps are damn near perfect.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask as I am very familiar with vinyl and have tons of experience.

Here's a GT-R I just recently wrapped in 3m Matte White as well... again, no seams. Hit the "Like" button, if you approve. Please :)

Enjoy

You might be right about the solid color stuff, but when it comes to the details this is the 1% crowd. Note I did say the cars looked really cool, but if FivePoint.0 is OCD he might not like it.

Just a suggestion Mark.... U can save money on the wrap and just fly me out to Cally to polish your car for free!!

:iagree::xyxthumbs: Let's be honest. We're all OCD that's why we're here. We talk about getting "more shine", jewelling etc. We're never happy with the shine we get, WE WANT MORE.
A wrap doesn't work with MOST of this crowd

Found a good shop and dropped the car off a couple days ago. Satin White body, Satin black roof, satin black refinished stock wheels.

I wonder if it will look something like this:

How much does a wrap typically cost? Ballpark?
After a year, if one section gets damaged/torn from a rock, etc., do you have to re-wrap the whole car due to UV fading? Or can you just do one panel and call it a day?

I'm getting it wrapped in 3M satin white pearl with gloss black roof. I will refinish my stock wheels to black.

Wash, CG matte spray detailer/sealant, done!

You just saved me a ton of money. :props: Not gonna do it.

Bob, very similar, even down to the black stock wheels. The body will be satin white, not pearl like in the pic. :dblthumb2:
$2500 for the wrap. They can redo one panel if need be. I won't let the sun fade it; always have it protected.
