I'm sorry I didn't find this thread earlier! I live in Stafford and would be free that morning. I'm not sure if I would be doing too much detailing that day but I'd like to come meet other local enthusiasts and pick up some new tricks. The more the merrier, right?

Certainly cannot guarantee I will be there due to shifts in the Fire department and current mayhem of business but I'm from southern md and work full time just across the river in pg. I have a few toys maybe worth trying and comparing.

I'm in. Me with a gimpy back and a Black Jetta needing prep for CQuartz.
Also bringing PC2424 and assortments of products including Collinite Insulator and Marquis d'Elegance and AutoGlym HD

No problem.

Jsou can I come. I live in vienna va.

Join us. :xyxthumbs:

You're right.

It's only a few weeks away maybe there will be a change.

Gentlemen, it was brought to my attention that just about every person will be bringing their own products/equipment to the gathering.

I ask that each person please be aware of your belongings. I do not want to risk any drama that may occur over missing or mixed up things. I would like for this meet to be successful so it opens future opportunities for events such as this. We have several members traveling long distances and I would not like to disappoint.

I have a one car garage with not so great lighting so most of the fun stuff will be happening outside on the driveway. I honestly don't believe I will have enough outlets or power to turn on all the equipment at once. As stated before, I do not have much to work with other than the basics. I would love to purchase more generators but things aren't so hot right now.

I have:

-2 Buckets with grit guards
-Pressure washer with foam cannon
-4 chenille wash mitts
-A couple wheel brushes
-Iron X
-Rigid Vacuum
-Wagner Steamer
-A couple bottles of the detailer's Meguiar's line
-Blackfire AFPP
-Blackfire MS paste wax

The cars we will be working on: I'm assuming we're doing interior details too?

- 2011 White Lexus IS250
- 2007 Grey Audi A3
- 2006 Black Infiniti G35 sedan
- Sn0W's Black Mustang
- BlkHEMILTD's 2013 VW GTI
- dcullen's Black Jetta

Food & drink suggestions:

We will be grilling! Maybe we can all chip in some bucks and I can just make one big run to the local costco. Please post up food, drinks, or brews of choice (for those that drink beer).

Time, Date, Place:

8AM, June 29th, 2013,
Ivandale Rd, Hamilton, VA 20158

I think this is more than enough people to knock out some epic details. Is anyone here decent with photography or videography? I have a canon T3i we could use. The only thing that concerns me is space. Hopefully we all won't be bumping and hogging each other's area while detailing the vehicles.

Any questions or concerns, either PM me or respond to the thread.

I'd love to swing by and put some names to faces seems the roster is already stacked!

I'll probably have to head out around lunch but looking forward to meeting everybody and learning a few things :)

This sounds like it is going to be fun as hell. Chipping in for a Costco run sounds like a good idea as well, I'm down for that.

I will bring my equipment just in case, and if we don't have the outlets, no big deal it doesn't hurt to bring it.

Yeah this is what I PM'd JSou about, but apparently everyone going pretty much has their own gear. So if everyone just only uses their own towels, then puts them back in their car or their little gear area when they are done with them, there shouldn't be any crossing of towels.

Alright this gathering is next weekend. Let's get cracking on what everyone's bringing or chipping in.

Please PM me for the exact info and phone number for those certain about attending.

Not sure what I should bring. I guess my mf towels if everyone is just using their own. Pick what u want me to bring from this picture it's my collection

im going to pack most my crap in the car and bring it. PM coming with my number

*forgot to add, ill have my camera and I can bring food as well. Jake - pm or text with what we are short on and ill make it happen. BTW I am trying to drag Lee out as well

Thanks fellas. I want to try out the Flex and compare it to the Rupes. Maybe we can create a comparison thread for those who still question their preference between the two.

What to bring? Brushes, pads, towels, buckets? I only have 3. 2 for washing one car and 1 for wheels. My pressure washer just took a dump last Saturday. I have to buy a new one. We have about 5 cars we will be taking care of, IIRC.

Anyone want to be a "leader" or main guy to show most of us the detail process? Sort of like how Mike Phillips does for his class and then the students get their hands dirty?

I have all the utensils, the grill, & charcoal. I just need to make a run for food & drinks.

So far I'm still in but my car started overheating and the dealer magically can't replicate the problem, even though I have pictures of it hitting 240-250.

That's not good. Hope it all works out for you.

Well we'll do a final roll call come Thursday. That way it gives me Friday to prepare everything, then we can get to work Saturday morning.
