Opti Seal First Review

Bill, thanks for the review. I have two more days wait until mine gets here.
dennish, thanks for the review also, man your car looks awesome! Thanks for the pics.
I do have some questions. Did you used the product over your headlights? How about plastic and rubber?

That's the nice thing about OS, as long as you don't go to far out from the main directions you and others will find their own personal best way of application. For me it's best when I spray it to the applicator pad and then to the paint.

Thanks guys....appreciate the feedback!

I used a cotton applicator (new), and used very sparingly yet I got lots of streaking, so much infact that I was miffed. I rewiped area, like I have done with CS, and found the streaking stayed. Still trying to find out if my sample was a beta version as had a handwritten label.

Sorry about being slow... I put this on the trim around the wheels and it seem to give it a nice matted shine. I had one spot that had some white residue from polishing that I covered up - tried to go back with Back-To-Black but Opti-Seal just beaded up on the surface. The rubber around the windows were fine also, just seemed to give them that matted finish.

After a couple of days the shine has increased along with the depth and wetness. I still very happy with the product and think my daily drivers will move up from the end of the alphabet to more towards the middle in the products it uses:D

I just re-read what I wrote - what I meant was - the Back-to-Black beaded up on top of the Opti-Seal! Let us know what you think.

How's the beading like of the OS when compared to carnauba wax (tight beading) or a sealant (slightly bigger beads)?
I want to order some -possibly tonight- I will mainly be using this over paint sealants more than anything else
Scott: I bet you wouldn't see much streaking with a foam pad. For sealants and wax, or any LSP for that matter, I like to use foam pad over cotton ones. I like cotton on first step type applications, as you can clean, and work the product better than you can with foam...

wellll i got impatient lol. i just washed my hood, clayed it because it needed it, and then applied opti seal with the yellow foam applicator. i love the way this stuff looks and the surface of the car feels like glass. tomorrow i am going to hopefully top it with natty's blue.

The Alcohol is probably just a carrier and drying agent....alot of QD have it in it also..they just add a nice smell to it...the alc will flash faster giving a fast dry time
