Optimum Gloss-Coat is IN STOCK!

How are there 14 reviews about a product that just came out? Most of the reviews are all talking about OC2.0, which is totally different.

I noticed that too. Just hasty web page editing.

That's actually a question I've answered a couple times today.

Sorry for the confusion - we're currently in the process of updating our website. Gloss-Coat was just added last night, so there are still a few revisions that need to be made on the copy and programming side of our site.

The "reviews" written and posted for Opti-Coat 2.0 will be removed by the end of the day, as they do not apply to Gloss-Coat.

If you have any more questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. 1-800-869-3011.

damn, was gonna buy 2.0 and now Ill have no chance. Definitely not buying this new version.

I dont like dumbed down products

I wonder if this works even better than OC 2.0 at dirt release/self-cleaning since it is slicker?

im not so sure there is a correlation between the two to be honest. The only reason I say this is because Sonax Polymer Net Shield and the Brilliant Shine detailer feel very very grippy and squeaky but release dirt and are more hydrophobic than any coating I have ever used. Sonax claims Polymer Net Shield has a 6 month durability time frame, and I feel over 3 or 4 months it holds up better than a coating and is far less sensitive (I never left it on the paint longer than that before I added to it or removed it completely).

I applied Opti-coat 2.0 to my black black bmw in March last year, and by last September pretty much all the properties were lost on 8 out of 12 panels. And on those last 4 panels they only sheeted water slowly and no longer beaded. Using iron X and especially the speedy prep towel did bring back beading and sheeting but it was very short lived. I went away from coatings after that and went back to durable polymer sealants that I feel held up better over short time frames.

You may wish to update the pictures for gtechniq exo v2 as well. The mustang in the pictures was done with the original product in the spray can (ultra durable hybrid coating). Showing pictures obtained using one product doesn't give an accurate representation of what's being purchased. I don't think it was intentional, just easy to overlook when updating links.

I had asked another question about these coatings in another thread but didn't really get too much response yet.

How does this more expenive Optimum product of only 10cc for $59.99 Optimum Paint Coating stack up to the Detailers brand paint coating of 4 oz for $49.99 Detailer’s Paint Coating, nano paint sealant, ceramic paint coating, nano paint coating and even against the Pinnacle paint coating at $79.99 for 4 oz. ???
Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating

Anyone have experience which is the way to go now?
