Optimum MF Polish Pad & Hyper Polish

have you try Menz power finish with the meg mf cutting/finishing pad or the opt mf polishing pad?

Why come your store pages never work right for me? Is it because I'm not a member of the forum over there? The products come up in a teeny narrow strip that goes waaayy down the page, and half the "add to cart" box is cut off, along with the descriptions, I guess, because there are none.

Just in case anyone missed it, I did not try to finish down D300 on purpose. I wanted to give both polishes a worst case scenario attempt at cleaning up the paint. Also please note that Meguiar's did not design the micro fiber system to be used like I used it for this test. This review is not to slam Meguiar's in any way, it was simply conducted out of curiosity.

Videos looking good! Thanks for posting them and I cannot wait to try them out!

Thanks for the video review bud! I got the same results as you. HP finished way better than M205! What speed did you use with each polish?

Just curious, how did you use D300?

I used both polishes on speed 6 on Griot's DA. To get D300 to haze over like that, I used a little quicker arm speed than usual and not as much pressure. Typically I move slow with firm pressure and leaves the paint in great shape. Like I said, I attempted to create a worst case scenario for both products because in my opinion if you finish down really good during the compounding stage then you can't see the true potential of a follow up product. Just like when a company makes a video tutorial using their products they always start out with a pretty clean car with maybe some light grime, what's the point? Nearly anything will clean a lightly soiled car.

Those are some impressive results! Looks like new-version HP just made it onto my must try list.

I haven't had much of any luck with M205 on a MF pad, maybe somebody else has.

But dang! That HP finished really well!! Would you say that finished better than M205 on a foam polishing/finishing pad, or are we just comparing MF and their respective systems?

I was only comparing the MF products. It's really tough to beat M205 on foam, however this will give it a run for the money. After this little run I'm going to test a couple different polishes on the Optimum polishing pad to see what kind of 1-step I can come up with. The first being Poli-Seal :xyxthumbs:

Richard, good job on the videos. I have yet to try the mf pads although I have some (Optimum's) being shipped to me along with some new B & S pads. How would the mf pad compare with the B & S foam pad for finishing down with the same polish, whether it be HP or 205 or Ultrafina or whatever. Which gives the better finish? (Now you know I use rotary for my foam too) So, the comparison is B & S pad (probably green or blue) with rotary compared to the mf pad and DA...who wins?

I used B&S yellow/HP as a 1-step with the 3401, and it finished great!! I think HP will finish great no matter what pad you use! I haven't done a side by side comparison of foam vs. MF using HP yet. This would be using a DA, anyhow.
