Optimum Opti-Bond Tire Gel... meh

I've used products like Meg's Endurance in the past, yes, very oily, and very wet looking, but also slung, it never dries, and it would attract dirts and dusts like crazy down here in the desert. Not to mention that upon follow up treatments, I'd be seeing a whole lot of black (rubber) on my applicators.

God knows what made me think of that, probably all the great Greek restaurants I used to eat at in Chicago when I lived there!

I don't like trying to clean the stained-paint that's caused
by the sling from those "oily" tire dressings.

Most of the time the stains are ineradicable:
OOOOPS! There goes the paint warranty!

What a pisser that is, for not only your vehicles...
But also for your Customers' (if any), as well.

Hard to see this: tire-sling damage...on darker color BC/CC paint systems...but it's there!!

^^ Application is key. You can get sling from water-based dressings, and if applied correctly, you can avoid sling with oil based dressings.

If you cake it on and drive right after - sure, you'll get sling.

I have yet to get it... but thats becuase I apply sparingly and work it into the rubber and also let the car sit a while before driving.

I have Perl, Hyper dressing & Obond, and all don't shine much through a rain for me.

Hyper dressing @ 1:1 has been my new "go-to".. MUUUUCH cheaper than Perl & O-bond pound for pound.

from "water-based dressings".

The advantage however is that you can easily wash it off and reapply after each wash and not have to do a full decon of the tires to avoid build up of dressing.

I must try CarPro PERL. While I have so many bottles of tire "dressings", and each bottle seems to be impossible to use up, people talk about this stuff like it's the Second Coming.

.... And, on the 13th day, God created PERL.
