Pan the Organizer product line...let's discuss@

Welcome to my world but I've finally managed to reclaim my algorithm. Nothing like a good ole Bob Ross marathon to purge the Utoob demons from my recommendations.
Too funny. There was a running joke in my family a couple summers ago about how they might have caused a fire in a Google data center somewhere due to tying to figure out the user algorithm on my YouTube account. My account was nothing but a few car reviewers and auto racing. And then my youngest daughter and my wife started watching Taylor Swift videos from my profile....

It did clear out a lot of random junk suggestions though!

When did that news break, and how?
Video dropped today, it was made by TRC, so the split was amicable. He is off to somewhere new, as I said I would be upset if he landed at HOR. I'm wondering if he might also turn up at Car Supplies Warehouse after Jason split with the co-owner.

I know TRC get a called the Hype Company, but I always recognized that as them simply doing their job. There are many brands and products "we" use today that Levi played major part in getting into the detailing mainstream. I know for myself, there are products I learnt about from him and the wider TRC video network. I know people move on, but I have to say, I'm sad about his departure.

Levi will more than likely end up with Dylan at Autowash. They are very good friends and their kids

See the thing is about Pan, from me personally, is this, I sub'd and liked him and his channel, although many here didn't. I found myself defending him at times too about the difference between arrogant and confidence. Many times watching his channel I'd go out and purchase products, so for me, he was doing his job quite nicely for these companies, same with Jon @ Forensic Detailing, except I don't believe he was sponsored and if he was, he doesn't do it in a "slimey" manner

The video before the 2024 Awards debacle I was going to order the RW to try but I held back for some strange reason, kinda funny how that worked itself out, huh

Now ADS also came out nowhere, like his line but was built up via word of mouth (thank you Deyon) and not some contrived group of "influencers" and/ or "hype" man, how somebody can take DJ Kalid seriously is beyond me but there you have it! Because of a respected forum member, DFB, a person that researches and goes into GREAT detail about a product, swayed me away from a brand I love (Gyeon) when it came time for my coating. Now this may or not be the way it's normally done but in my case it's 100% how it went down.

In closing I'm glad I went with ADS over Pan's product because one will be here succeeding while another will just fade away into obscurity.....

Not knocking ADS but it blew up in the Pan/Jaime/Eddie hype train. YouTube and Instagram built up its popularity…, kinda why I have been shying away. It’s all these guys “best” before their own products…

I’ve shied away from brands like ADS, Clean and DiY details.

I’m try to stick with companies who make there own chemicals like Labocosmetica, Koch Chemie. Not sure If Gyeon, Fireball, Tac systems and CarPro use same blender out of Korea but their different enough I’ll include them, Mckee’s and Feynlab.

Wouldn’t be surprised all these guys who popped on YouTube (including ADS) just share same blender.

I don’t have a problem with them they all built their YouTube presence and I can’t fault them from capitalizing but really what do they know about chemistry.

To me, there is a clear contrast I can see between ADS and CLEAN by Pan.

For starters, I want to be clear in saying that while I have not used Pan's products, they are more than likely very products, its just a shame they way it all played out.

It's when you look at "where" these two brands have come from that paints the picture.

Armour Detail Supply (ADS) was born out of a high-end detailing business, in particular two young guys with high ambition. From what I can see, Bradley is still actively "on the tools" and very experienced. This then leads to hands on expertise when developing products. The result is simply brilliant products and a brand with high overall customer service and relatability. There is NO I'm better than you coming across from the business.

Now, I have no doubt Pan has plenty of detailing experience and knowledge, but from what I have seen in his videos, he does more talking about detailing than actual detailing. You will also notice he does a lot of standing in front of the camera reading product labels, which to me suggests he hasn't even used the product at all. I guess when you are being paid to feature a brand or product, why even bother to sample it, just read what they told you to and cash that cheque. This all then flows into the products he puts his name on. I don't doubt the claims of these products being his own proprietary blends, and as I said, they are probably very good. But there is simply no real-world or pro-tested credibility here like present with ADS. Then throw in the super shady and sleezy way the brand was launched, how can I or anyone want to support this venture.

ADS are a class act, from where they started to where they sit right now. I have absolutely no financial connection to the company, I just like their products and the attitude towards their customers.

Jaime Pan and Eddie Colon help grow the ADS brand. I wouldn’t be surprised if they used the same vendors.

Owner of ADS is always on there podcast.

ADS wouldn’t be for better or worse where the are today if not for the influencer crew….

Sadly, YouTuber and other social media avenues are a necessary evil nowadays

I made my ADS choice based off of Deyons reviews and DIY Detail I took a leap and it paid off because those products are really, really good (the ones I've used, some repeat purchases)

I actually looked at some private blending sites just to see what is out there and how much it costs. I can totally get the business sense for a working shop - you make chemicals that do what you need, for less than buying established, and have stuff to sell to customers for maintenance. You might not get top industry replacements but any chemical you can substitute and then also sell/package with details would make sense. Custom blends and the likes isn’t as cheap as the defaults though.

Mine will be ready in spring.
Are you serious about the last part

McKee's makes their own chemicals???

I hate to point out that we are on a forum owned by a company that grew to what it is from a different era of "influencers". Back in the days before YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, "influencers" came on forums like this and created buzz about products. Before this forum existed, I'm pretty sure Meghan was watching everything that was going on at Autopia, because whenever when of the "basement" suppliers found a product and started selling it, Autogeek would pick it up and undercut them.

(When I say basement suppliers, I mean the guys who sold detailing supplies online as a side gig, people like Patrick at Excel Detail, Scott at Specialty Motoring Products, Bob at Danase, etc.)

"WE" were the indluencers, some took it further

It was a little more complicated back in the day, not only did you have the forum owners on the forums promoting their own products, but there were members who, unbeknownst to the community, were beta testers for products and would wittingly or unwittingly promote those products. There were also product giveaways in exchange for reviews, which wasn't always transparent. So really it's the same thing now--caveat emptor.

Gyeon claims to make all their chemicals in-house and in fact they identify themselves as a chemical manufacturer. However, its a bit unclear with the SK brands as Fireball, TAC, Carpro and Gyeon often release products that appear very similar. Labo and KC make their own products in-house but all of these companies are likely still buying certain chemicals from other chemical companies, globally, to make their own products in-house.

Ever notice that Pan likes to comment on literally every YT'er review of his products? Dude stay in your lane. You don't need to throw your biased korny two cents in every video someone posts.

Didn’t comment on mine…

….i wonder why.
Probably because he knows you're Canadian

Probably has a team of people handling this for him, throw them a free bottle of something and off they go

It would seem like it, but if you read his posts it’s no doubt him. He’s clearly a bit obsessed at the moment.

I remember I made that post on his top 10 award video at like 2am and he replied within 5-10min. to call me a conspiracy theorist. It’s him. Lol.
