Pan the Organizer product line...let's discuss@

This is my approach as well, just in stills and typed words rather than in front of a camera. I make no money from any review or product I write about. As you do, I share my experiences and interests, both good and bad. What's dragging me down at the moment is when I try something new, write good things about because I've enjoyed using it, or present information that clearly supports my findings, then get shot down because product XYZ is just the flavor of the month and over hyped, so therefore I'm just contributing to the hype. As I said, I have nothing to gain by hyping up a product, I just try something, if like it, I pass it on.

I'm also getting sick of the dismissal of newer brands as being a flash in the pan (pun not intended). There are brands that are innovating, bringing fresh blood into the industry, and with it, fresh thinking. Because without that, we end up with companies that sit on their hands, producing the same products that they introduced in the 90's, that are not innovating or when they do, it's just repackaging an old product to give a new role. And that applies to companies from all across the globe. Maybe I should try Pans stuff?

First, this is NOT aimed at you, you don't seem to have a problem saying something sucks

That is certainly not the case with the vast majority of the UToobers

Either they review 10 products and throw 9 of the videos away and only post the positive ones for the current products de jour they are raving about

or

They have a monetary vested interest in posting every video on every product and spending the majority of their time trying to spin the review to be favorable (translated to "they lie")

"This product Sucks" videos are so few and far between that it violates the mathematical principles of probability

In my opinion there is a line to walk when it comes to negative reviews. Firstly if you buy the product you definitely should not hold anything back per se, but you should also be constructive. I will never release a video that is a hit piece, it’s not productive to the viewer or the brand.

If you receive a product and it doesn’t perform, you should first ensure you’re applying it correctly and that it hasn’t gone off and notify the brand that it is not performing.

From here, if there is zero positive attributes for the product I would skip the video and just make a post stating you have tried and tested it, and it didn’t perform. The public needs to know, but 15 minutes of straight negging isn’t going to help anyone.

Cerakote sent me their ceramic window coating and I could not get it to perform. After 3 attempts I gave up and just left it on the car in a 50/50 with griots to monitor it (that was many months ago). After getting my glass test panel I decided to try it again and found out they discontinued the spray version and replaced it with a wipe on like their trim coating. I just got those in and have 1 more glass coating coming to compare it to (real world and test panel).

So, that video will show the old version and contain the language regarding my dissatisfaction with it, but also feature the new version and what it brings to the table. That, in my opinion is a good way to go about it.

Your points are valid; however, how many times does that actually happen?

Constructive criticism is a lost art it seems

I could have chosen some other way to describe videos that aren’t glowing and gushing

I honestly rely more on the feedback from the folks on this forum than I do the talking heads who seem to dominate the UToob community

Well the Cerakote glass spray is the first product where I just could not get it to work in any capacity. It was so off from the get go I couldn’t even have a comparable starting point.

Remember we’re talking about purely negative reviews like zymol’s graphene spray thing - there was zero redeeming qualities to that product.

Ebs and flows in a review are normal. My last video had some downsides for application ease, and overall price for me with shipping. But sometimes products just tick all the boxes in an initial review (no longer term data for certain products). It’s hard to explain, sometimes you’re just please with a product and want to share, otherwise it’s actually easier and better to have negative aspects to talk about.

Alas, it appears that the detailing community was not yet ready for “…Pure Atomic Graphene”

Maybe some day

Also available on Amazon for the bargain price of $39.95…with two 5-Star Reviews. Which, if taken at face value, means at least 2 folks liked it

Detailing like many activities has a strong emotional aspect such as brand loyalty, etc.

Very true because when you like AND believe in a product and your using it on your car you feel like a King

And that’s all that matters once you set aside all the chatter, be it mfg hyperbole or some other voice regarding the ‘best’ (or worst) of anything.

It's even available over here, but the discounting has started, it's down from $89.99 to $71.99, and it shows 120 still in stock. Weirdly, all 5 reviews are 5 stars, but all 5 are in different languages.

1 month update for clean ceramic spray added. Cold temps ain’t helping these guys out.

Apparently, he only lost 135 subscribers.

Bla bla bla bla bla bla. All he did was put words in peoples mouth here. Apparently, he welcomes constructive critique, bust as we know, when people did do this, it was him going defensive and argumentative. There were members here asking genuine, respectable questions who were shut down by him and had posts deleted. He claims people were cussing at him in the comments, which is not something I noticed. And as is typical for a narcissist, he turns the story around and projects blame and shame back onto his viewers/followers/commenters.

Proud to be 1 of 135

I tried to watch it but I made it in about 4 minutes, couldn't take it! "Shook up the industry"...enough!

Then there's these "hosts", one looks like some goomba and the other one looks DJ Kalid's Dad....

I'd be interested to know if his viewer numbers have dropped though. The ones that have un-subscribed have done that in a very conscious manner. So while he may have "only" lost 135 subscribers, how many of the remaining are still watching his videos? For a variety of reasons, I have a bunch of subscriptions to channels that I don't watch anymore but haven't actually un-subscribed.

Oh, and notice how I didn't link to the same interview on his channel (the video was posted on both channels).

That's a great point Deyon

I guess someone will have to check his views, hate to pass the buck but I'm not doing it, a click is a click and doesn't deserve it

Those dudes are funny. I remember when I 1st saw their vids I thought “These dudes must be from Stockton or something”
Stockton is small town in Northern California..

If 2 dudes from Stockton came to a hood in LA they’d stick out like a sore thumb. Lol. I couldn’t help but think of them that way since the older guy sort of portrays the look of a cholo, and it turns out they are near Stockton, I believe they’re from Merced or somewhere up there, same difference. Lol.

I’ve interacted with them a couple of times and they’re cool. Good guys.

This is why I’ve largely stopped watching detailing videos. For the most part, they’re all turning into cults of personality in which someone gets enough subscribers, not because of their detailing knowledge, but because of their ability to seem like an expert. And now there is this inner circle of YouTube detailers that are nothing more than an echo chamber. The only two online detailers I still enjoy watching are Forensic Detailing and Brian from Apex. None of the clickbait BS and just giving good info on whatever products hit the market that are of interest.

The Cops theme song has major Bass! I put that on sometimes and turn the volume up and let the subwoofer do its thing.

Pan talks alot like all good conman but doesn't really say anything of importance. I looked up the address of THOR and Clean on the SDS sheets. The address links back to same S and S auto supplies manufacturers company. I stick with the actual manufacturers personally.

I don't support white labels anymore. Lots of them - ADS would be one of the new popular ones. DIY, Clean and The House of rags(Detail Co.), Apex surface protection, ethos car care etc are all white label.

White label - Is basically when an entrepreneur approaches a chemical manfacturer for white label or private label of there base chemistry with some "tweaks" so you can call it your own and sleep at night. I doubt Pan as trouble sleeping he's so phony, its unreal how he fools so many people. I have never seen him paint correct. That's a good question if even as one video of him using a polisher. That would be telling for sure.

I still like Eddie a bit, so i might try something from Detail Co. just for fun. Nothing really interests me though besides the rinseless sponge lol The blueberry pad looks solid too from Buff and Shine i would guess but i don't know.

White labeling is not inherently bad IMO - just the jacked up prices and marketing get out of hand. I even got a gallon of DIY rinseless because i felt Yyan taught me a few handy tips over the years. He's another conman however.
