I've use it quite a bit on the exterior of my car. I have done my wheels in white, those turned out great, just got dirty VERY fast with Ferodo ds2500 brake pads.
I also did my entire car (sprayed too thin) in Navy blue, and then decided I didn't like that color, so I peeled it, which took days of my wife and I peeling little chunks and rubbing our thumbs raw, but it eventually all came off. I then sprayed it a custom pearl mix of 50g deep purple pearl, and 50g electric blue pearl mixed in 1 gallon of glossifier, and 1 gallon of matte clear over 4 basecoats of black. All in all about 7 coats. Like everyone has said, mask off well.
I pulled my tape after the last layer was sprayed and still tacky, and as I pulled, I went along the edge with an Xacto knife to avoid pulling up the dip.
The Blurple lasted great through the summer and a road trip from Seattle, WA Los Vegas, NV to Pensacola, FL, to Groton, CT, and then once I got here, I backed in to my garage door, and replaced it, and peeled the whole car. It took about 20 minutes to peel the whole car, and I could have taped it together and made a shell of my car.
Moral of the story, spray 2 thin coats, and then thick coats. I waited about 30 minutes between coats, pretty much painted nonstop going around the car in a circle, spray the roof, then start over. Also, I noticed somebody asked about putting on a coat of wax before dipping something, that is the exact opposite of what you want to do, All wax MUST BE STRIPPED before spraying stuff or it will NOT stick. I used pre-dip spray when I did the blurple, and 93% IPA when I did the wheels, and the Navy blue dip jobs.
