Today I had some down time so I decided I would polish the old gas saver for some good before and after photos for my collection to show possible customers my work. I apologize the photos are not the greatest quality due to my camera breaking last week and my swirl finder light also decided it no longer wants to operate.

I used the griots boss g15 with boss microfiber pads with the fast correcting cream for compound stage. Did 2 section passes with 4 cross hatch patterns per pass and slow arm speed. Machine was set at 5 then turned down to 3 during the last cycle.

I followed with perfecting cream on a boss yellow pad. I did a quick section pass using moderate arm speed. Machine was set at speed 4 then turned down to 2 for the last cycle.

I am floored by the results. This car was my wife's first car that sat under a walnut tree for 10 years getting washed maybe 2 times a year unsung gravel brushes it appears. Now I have to finish the hood because the car looks hideous. But the gloss and clarity are superb overall, I wasn't chasing rids and never plan on wet sanding this dinosaur.

Thanks although I am not looking forward to going to work in the morning and hearing everyone make fun of me polishing the beater

excellent results, when you finish the rest of car please post some pics!

I will post some shots of the hood in the sun if it shows up finally. I am not sure I will polish the entire car as it just gets me from work and back. Maybe if I stay bored I will slowly work my way around it one day

Thanks for the kind words. It really shows how effective the new griots boss creams and pads are. The fast correcting cream left almost the exact same finish as the perfecting cream. If anyone has yet to try FCC do yourself a huge favor and click buy now it is truly a top notch product. I only had 45 mins in the hood including prep which is not bad considering how hammered the old girl is.

Are you new to paint correction? Just wondering because your work is outstanding my friend.

I am a noob no doubt. I got my g15 kit last year and did my wife's car with it after I practiced on a junkyard hood a few times. I have done some basic scratch removal with it but no major jobs. I wish I could find folks around the area that are willing to compensate for the work involved as I don't want to give away work for pennies.

I tribute the work to hours of you tube content and lurking the forums like some crazy individual. The products also make life pretty easy. I am super impressed with the boss lineup, I had some issues with getting used to the g15 as I practiced on hoods at a friend shop on a rupes and originally enjoyed the rules more but have come to like the g15 now once I tweaked a few minor techniques.

Thank you for the kind words I envy the folks who can do this for a living I truly enjoy it. My partner at work told me today when I was doing the hood that I looked like I was having the time of my life. I enjoy watching hammered paint become clear once again something is just super satisfying watching the transformation take place.

I have a ton to learn still I'm just a weekend hack trying to do some side work here n there

This was the first full car I ever polished. It was just some basic wash marring and minor swirls nothing to serious.

I used adams brilliant glaze, pinnacle black label sealant, and Adams patriot wax as the lsp.

I am using griots poly wax currently on it with solid results. I am planning on doing a fine polish and coating with csl and exov3 in the spring if time permits. That will be a learning curve yet again but the guys at autopia have me hooked on the combo with the results they are achieving
