Thought I'd post this here as well - some items were not bought at AG, hope that won't be an issue (I've removed the names of any other vendors)
Shopping for detailing supplies in the US, when you live overseas, is a test of patience. If you're planning on making a major purchase, you can immediately have the items shipped; however, due to cost, the best option is to go for sea freight. This means that it takes a month or two from the time you purchase until you actually get a hold of your items. Buying individual items, when you find good deals, is even worse - it's too expensive to ship items overseas individually, so I end up having them shipped to my aunt in Delaware, and just wait until the next time a relative happens to be coming back here to bring them home.
When you do get the items though, you feel like a kid on Christmas Day - a kid with loads of rich aunts, uncles and godparents. It so happened that last week, my box of purchases from Black Friday arrived within a few days of my parents coming home from visiting my sister - so as you can imagine, I was pretty excited to receive almost a year's worth of purchases all at the same time :righton: So I thought I'd share what I got with the forum
Before everything, I apologize for the quality of the pictures - I'm not normally a flash guy, but the light in the room was pretty dim, and I couldn't be bothered getting my DSLR out.
MF Towels - the dark blue ones are California Jr. waffle-weaves, the grey waffle weaves are Mothers Wheel and Jamb towels, then a 10-pack of Eurow 660gsm double-plush, and finally a bunch of grey 460gsm double-plush towels bought during a group buy. The green towels are freebies from the same vendor as the grey plush towels.
Various Tools - Mothers detailing brushes, Meguiar's pad conditioning brush, and a generic bug sponge.
Washing and Cleaning Chemicals - 32 oz sample of APC+, along with 2 extra APC+ bottles with chemical-resistant spray heads; two bottles of Optimum Car Wash, Iron-X paste (smells just as bad as I'd heard!), Dodo Juice Born to be Mild, Ultima Waterless Wash+ concentrate, and some Sonus Ultrafine clay.
Polishes and Paint Cleaners - Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish, Optimum Compound, Polish and Finish Polish, Meguiar's M105 and M205, and HD Uno. Also pictured are a couple of samples - three sample bottles of Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant, Blackfire Deep Gloss spray sealant, Pinnacle Liquid Souveran, and some Menzerna Power Gloss and Sealing Wax (obtained locally).
Polisher and Pads - Meguiar's G110v2, with included bag. In the box is the 6" backing plate it comes with as standard, and the bail handle. Mounted on the polisher is a 3.5" backing plate. Also pictured are two gold LC hand applicator pads, some 4" white ultra-finishing, black finishing, and yellow cutting B&S pads, and green 4" Cyclo polishing pads. Then we have a couple of 5.5" Tangerine, Crimson and flat Black pads, and finally, two Meguiar's MF-cutting discs, and the recommended Meguiar's 5" backing plate.
Waxes and Sealants - DP Poli-Coat and the new formula of Pinnacle XMT 360 spray wax, both bought on BOGO. Some Klasse All-In-One and HD Poxy. The Pinnacle Souveran was bought from a forum member, as was the Natty's Blue (both virtually full); also pictured is Collinite 915, Wolfgang Fuzion, Victoria Wax Concours, and Zymol Glasur.
One final shot, all together:
