Some people love these accounts, and some people hate them.
I'm on the hate side, ha. I don't like dealing with one customer who has 20 vehicles and wants to pay squat cause he has numbers. I'd rather do one vehicle at full price.
I think what you quote, really depends on your status as a business.
Are you busy without this account? If so...then your price should reflect that and just be a minimal discount if you want to give one at all. When it comes to removing the seats from every vehicle...I personally wouldn't discount, but instead say you will do the work at normal price, and not charge extra for removing seats.
Do you need the work? Then your price would most likely be low to ensure this company gives you the work, and not someone else. Money is money.
Answering the question "What should I charge?", isn't as cut and dry as it sounds.
If they called me, and wanted a "full detail" inside and out with an AIO exterior, no engine, and wanted me to remove seats...I would tell them $165 for cars, and $195 for trucks, and shuttles are by the hour.
I know people will say those prices are high. But, that's what I would get for that type of service without removing all the seats. Removing seats is time consuming! :dblthumb2:
I would guess that they only mentioned removing the seats because they probably were using a detailer who wasn't good at getting underneath the seats. Most professional detailers don't have this problem...especially with the right crevice tools. I would try to talk them into the fact that it's not necessary.
