Product Review: McKee's 37 Plastic Trim Restorer

How does this product fare through rain? Does it run down the side of your vehicle like so many other products during a rainstorm?

I normally use, the ipa mix but im trying to see how well the whole mckees line plays together, its slowly taking over my shelves and after my garage mini clean this weekend, I realized I have way more mckees products then I though and a lot mess megs then I thought.

by the way im going ill have all mckees stuff minus polishes, ill always have multiple brand polishes

Do you mean like the actual product dripping off when raining?

I don't think he means dripping, but I've seen trim products run off the plastic when they get wet. The result is streaks of the trim product all over your paint under the areas it was applied. 303 Aerospace did this when I used it on exterior trim.
 
when I get home today ill spray the running board down with the hose and see what happens

*Update*

It has been a week since application, The bumper still looks good. I see no streaking or high/low spots. A very consistent color and coverage throughout the bumper.

It has rained once since my application. If I have time later I will give it a hose test. I will let you guys know!

I would think the McKee's has better restoring ability. Durabilty between the two? I don't know.

I'm not sure if water from the hose will have the same effect as actual rain.. And IME it tends to happen to pieces such as door handles...

And especially the plastic trim lining the top of the truck beds on Chevy Silverados. Once it rains, alot of products just start to run off the plastic and onto the paint.

It's never a problem or even noticeable on bumpers.

I agree with Nick - most of the trim restorers work well. But they all have a different longevity factor. If you keep up with it on a new(ish) vehicle, most quality products will get the job done. On something neglected, I found SF to last the longest - at least on Jeeps (which are notorious for faded black trim) Someone on the forum did a side by side a while ago - see the below thread.
