Have anyone used this wax on their rims? I use CG Wheel guard wax which still hasn't let me down at all yet. I been wanting to use this product but I got no chrome rims to use it on...to be honest I see better results with chrome rims than anything! Feed back please

I've used it a couple of times, kept my rims clean and shiny so it's good IMO but I haven't used anything else on rims to compare..
BTW my wheels are polished aluminum with mineral gray pockets (clear coated I think).

Who makes that wax?

I used Meguiar's Ultimate Wax on my wheels and Collinite 476s.

IMO Meguiar's made them look glossier I guess you can say, but dusted more than Collinite 476s.

476s still gave plenty of gloss, dusts less and lasts longer. So 476s for my wheels now.

I have been wanting to try a dedicated wheel wax however. So like I said above who makes that wax?

I use(d) it, it works great and is easy to buff off. I love it but I just Plasti-Dipped my rims yesterday so I won't be using it on my car again. At least not until I remove the Plasti-Dip off.

It smells freaking good too.

I used this and it is great and have moved to details pro spray to see if its better on my Audi q5

Try surf city garage "diamonds edge". This stuff can withstand a good 100°-?? of wheel well temp. It's great for the rest of the car as well.

They sent me a sample of that. I really like it and will buy some when my sample bottle is gone.

I use 845. Isn't 845 better than 476 because of the heat factor

#476 is a longer lasting wax and is a hard paste, it will last longer for sure! I use #476 on the wheels on my DD and clean-up is a breeze!

Sent from my SPH-M930 using AG Online

I use poor boys wheel sealant, brake dust stands no chance when I use that on my wheels

being that 845 was originally designed for electrical insulators...i'm sure an application on your rims would be more than sufficient. However the Surf City product is available locally...

Whatever wax is chosen, it should be impervious to atleast 250°.
Diamonds Edge is a nice kinda smelly in a good way.

I have Rim Wax. I've used it once or twice. It applies pretty easily - like a glaze.

But honestly, I can't be bothered doing that frequently. All my wheels are now OptiCoated. OC is better all around than any wheel wax type product. Dirt just rinses off wheels with OC, and it's a lifetime treatment.

I have wheels that where OC'ed 2+ years ago. I've used every wheel cleaner in the book on them - the OC is still good as new.

If you want mine - hit me up for a trade. Prolly 90% left.

I tried multiple types of wheel\rim wax before and never found them worth the effort. CarPro Reload, HydrO2, and CQuartz, on the other hand, are worth their weight in gold. A power washer and foam cannon is enough to clean chrome, clearcoated, and aluminum wheels that are coated.

My wheels are a PITA to work on, so I finally just Opti-Coated them. Works well. Hydro2 would be my back up choice.
