Rinseless Washes - 2022

I was told that Ivan is friends with a chemist that has worked in the industry for years. They source their chemicals from the US. I don't think DIY is a private label brand. I'm not sure though how it works though with them.

68 today and 70 on Thursday. Car hasn't seen water since early December. I'm reluctant to go full RW for the first time after winter, but after that, RW allllllllllllllllllllllll the time.

100% private label. I try not to post about touchy subjects unless I’m pretty sure of it. This just like I explained but right from the horses mouth.

Wrong about Mckee’s as he says blender doesn’t retail own products…. Maybe B&B?

Top 3! Top 3! Top 3!

Very interested to hear your top 3! Looking forward to that.

I'll give you mine, looks like Craig's will be a little longer wait, in no particular order because it's hard...seriously

Here's my giant writeup:

Incredible write up

Since you like products that clean and make the paint glossy you might not rank Feynlab high on the list but you'll be VERY impressed with its cleaning ability

I see one of my favorites, Absolute, made your cut

Heck yes man!
Absolute is a winner for sure.

I'm interested to try the Feynlab- maybe for winter washes? I definitely need an excuse for another product

Feynlab is the most unique RW I've tried. It wets the panel surface area better than any other I've tried. Cleans exceptionally well too.

Watching the fourth day of TRCMA, the Optimum segment was used to launch the latest formulation of ONR. This will be version number five and is claimed to be a ground up reformulation.

Key takeaways include improved lubrication, slickness, gloss and reduced residual water and therefore drying times. Dilution rates and usages remain the same.

ONR segment from 5hr 12min -

Optimum Car Care has the 8 oz with free shipping. I guess that's the "new (version 5)" formula.

Rebranded from what? I know it is similar to McKees 37 #914 but several on this has said they are not the same.

It is not rebranded. To throw this out there, DIY uses the same distributor the Owner's Pride uses for shipping. Does that make it an owners pride rebrand? Nope. It is well known that many products are often blended by the same manufacturer.

Huh interesting. I started it a bit before that timestamp and I learned about their Opti Coat line. They have Opti Coat no rinse that is risneless wash with ceramic in it. Kind of confused on their lineups now, thought they only had simple products under Optimum Car Care. It's so expensive though compared to normal rinseless might as well just use my regular ceramic topper as a drying aid (Elixir).

But again a new formula, that's interesting! Could justify it being more expensive than Absolute or DIY Detail.

I just visited their site for the first time. They have a big gold sponge for sale too...

The Opti-Coat line's maintenance packaging looks GREAT.

I'm asking because it was stated previously it's a rebranded company, not quite sure about that

i bought some absolute and used it a few times and while t wasn't bad (or ground breaking) i ended up selling it. the lotion like smell was too nauseating for me. IME, both GGRW and N-914 have worked great and i will continue to use those even though i do foam gun/bucket washes more...
