Rinseless Washes - 2022

Rebranded from what? I know it is similar to McKees 37 #914 but several on this has said they are not the same.

Rebranded as in DIY does not make their on products the are made and then branded for DIY. A lot of smaller detail products are done the same way and there could be 20 different lines of products that come from the same source.

I'm asking because it was stated previously it's a rebranded company, not quite sure about that

There product comes from a blender like B&B. DIY does not make there own products. They come from a big blender that according to Yvan There a big chemical company that makes a lot of products but don’t have their own brand. Theyalready makes a lot the chemicals you know and love already”

You can be sure if I post something that matter of factly I got it from a good source (Yvan himself).

You can be sure about that.

I posted this video when it came up before. Start watching at 1 minute mark.

DIY Detail Products : Brand Review - YouTube

It is not rebranded. To throw this out there, DIY uses the same distributor the Owner's Pride uses for shipping. Does that make it an owners pride rebrand? Nope. It is well known that many products are often blended by the same manufacturer.

A lot of people in the interwebs call that rebranded. Your interpretation and mine differ.

I guess I should be clear as in they do not manufacture or blend their own products. Yvan and Steven did not create the company.

That’s not to say they are not good products. Just not produced by “DIY”

Alot of people thing Adam’s is a B&B rebrand now that they are under the same umbrella corporation and I think they make some great products. No matter where it comes from a good product is a good product.

Gotcha, when I thought of rebranding, I was thinking of them taking another brand's exact product and putting DIY Details' name on it rather than paying a blender to make products according to their specifications. Outsourcing your blending is fine, putting your nam3 on someone else's product and marketing it as your own product is deceptive.

What do you mean new onr...did they just come out with another new new formula?

Yeah just release version 5. Slicker and glossier. I’d prefer no more added gloss. Would buy their wash and wax if I wanted that.

Was announced on TRC’s you tube channel.

The new ONR looks very interesting.

Probably won’t notice a difference. I noticed zero difference between the original version and the 2021 version. I’ll let my boy Eddie Colon test it on his channel.

yeah, don't confuse new formula version 4 with new formula version 5. I wish they'd slightly tweak the bottle when they did this stuff to differentiate it.

It's an ugly label. Which matters to me when i'm looking around frankly. If the market is saturated i will go with the best looking and best smelling product every time.

I love the smell of absolute and it's a nice and neat bottle too. Next order, which won't be for a while I will probably include a gallon of absolute and be done with it for a few years.

Now i'm looking for some interiors tools lol The scrub ninja's look interesting for a deep clean. Then back to the towels. I don't know a lot about interior tools...

I don't disagree with your last sentence but if that were the case Chemical Guys would rule the market, thankfully that's NOT the case

:xyxthumbs:

I don't know if he was just saying it because Dr. G was there, but one of the TRC guys said it was noticeably slicker and significantly different than the prior version. Guess we'll find out.

That interview with Dr. G was weird lol.

Yeah labelled "new formula" a few years ago...now they have changed it again? Love ONR, but yes they need to differentiate this stuff

To me, rebranded is the same as rebottled.
Like, pour product from one bottle to another, with a different label.

My findings of the 2 are:
they clearly are not a rebrand/rebottle. They smell slightly different (I prefer DIY) and the color is different.

Do they both share the same basic blend/chemistry and mixed at the same place? Maybe.... but maybe not.
Don't know that it really matters to me. They are both great products.
I just couldn't find a difference in how the 2 work.

Looks at the suds similarity, and how they react the same to dirt (no visible evidence of polymer sticking from DIY (they say it has polymers)
