Rinseless Washes - 2022

lol i know this thread took a different route. I should have started a pre-wash thread.

Let’s combine the two

What do you guys think about the ability to use BH Touchless and then effectively “rinse” it off with a RW?

I’m always thinking about winter

I wouldn’t try it with BH Autofoam, that’s for sure

I haven’t tried Touchless yet

I think it would work and not a bad idea at all.

Maybe I better get some Touchless and try it out

For science and stuff

I have also noticed that Detail Popo has a FOAMING waterless and rinseless concentrate that is applied with a foaming sprayer at various strengths and supposedly lathers up and then you wipe it off with a microfiber

Sounds a lot like AMMO NYC Frothe

chilly for Alaska, I definitely think a great pre-wash + RW is ideal.

Some like using Multi X for a pre-wash. I know Brian from Apex recommended it. A lot of options to drive us all crazy LOL.

I am hoping that the addition of the IK Foam Pro 12 will help me get the cars sprayed down with prewash a lot better before I go through the tunnel wash

But

Ideally if the prewash followed by a good warm rinseless wash in the comfort of my garage would work that would be ideal

Generally if I go through the tunnel wash it is far enough away from the house that I don’t feel safe coming home and following up with a rinseless wash

I’ll just have to sort out a prewash that doesn’t require flowing water to get off

Has anyone tried Armour Detail Suooly Hero? It’s pretty easy- very slick.

Yes. I got in on a shipment a couple weeks ago. It is going to be another on the top of RW lists for the year. It leaves nothing behind and pairs well with Amplify. Agree that it's very slick as well.

I'm not a RW expert but it did what I needed it to do and offers a lot of versatility like the DIY Detail option. It certainly has a lot of YT hype at the moment so I'm waiting on others here to try it and be able to better compare but I liked what I got out of it.

Curiosity killed the cat today... ordered this one to see what the brand is all about.

PH Scale Reading -6- Mild Acidic

Dilutable 896:1: This powerful formula can be diluted up to 896 parts water, making it highly cost-effective.

Emulsifies Dirt: The Triple S Rinseless Car Wash emulsifies dirt, making it easy to wipe away without leaving any scratches or swirl marks.

Versatile Use: This car wash can be used as a clay lube, pad lube, quick detailer and even a glass cleaner for all-round car maintenance.

Used Ech20 today. Still one of my favorite.
Whenever I revisit Ech2o it's like using it for the first time, thus I'll always have it, no matter how good Gyeon ECO wash & Labocosmetica Idrosave is

I've been interested in this brand as well. They have become popular on social media such as TikTok.

I think they have a TikTok shop. I refuse to move into TikTok...I feel like I'm about 30yrs too old for that.

I also ordered some other items. I was very interested in the Citrus Clean and Shine. I'll be glad to share the results once everything is received and used.

So true. While I haven't used those two yet, when I come back to using Ech20 I always love it.

I just tried Armour Detail Supply Hero for the first time yesterday. I thought it was one of the best rinseless washes I have ever used. Great cleaning power, lots of slickness and lubrication, and an addictive scent. A really great user experience. Even though it contains some SiO2 to increase slickness, it claims not to leave anything behind.

Washing with Hero and then using ADS Amplify as a drying aid is a really great combo.

One advantage of Hero over Ech20 is that, with Ech20, I find that when used as a detailer, if I use a bit too much product, it can cause streaks especially on glass. No streaks with Hero, even if I use more product than the dilution instructions recommend.

And unlike Absolute, Hero mixes and dissolves easily.

Good to hear another opinion. Agreed, that combo works very well from ADS.

Apparently Ethos is going to bring up the rear and release theirs soon. They claim it's been in development for 3yrs and seem to be targeting ADS Hero as their competition.

What a time to be alive

One more brand I’ve never heard of

Thanks for sharing and let us know what you think about it

Does anyone know how important it is to wear respiratory protection when using Armour Hero rinseless? They state it under the guide to use section of the product on the Armour website. I'm guessing it's due to the Silica backbone of the product.

WTH? If a rinseless requires respiratory PPE to use, that's a rinseless I'm not using.

I can use ONR or N914 and easily clean the wheels on either of the Hybrids but they both have sealant on the wheels and there is something about the Hybrid brakes that just doesn't get near as dirty as some braking systems

Um...Chilly...that's cuz hybrids are using the motors to do the work of the brakes, in most instances.

Getting tires clean with RW is another matter but that's probably because I am still stuck in the "303, PERL, VRP" days of tire dressing and they just don't clean up as easily as they would with a tire coating of some kind, or at least that is my understanding of the issue

Yes, tires are the problem. I have so much conventional wash I still generally wash wheels/tires conventionally, even if I rinseless the rest of the car. One day I will have to work out a rinseless regimen and I am working toward that since I have tire coatings on some of my tires now, that I put on in the fall. There is also of course that rinseless Mothers tire cleaner, I think I only tried that once, a little messy.
