Spray Sealants - 3-6 months

I guess no one has used Collinite Beadcoat yet? Forensic loved both Beadcoat and Slickr. Said they're the two best he ever used. Beads like a coating and is super easy to work with.

My sealant these days is Optimum Opti-Seal.

The new version is much better then the previous.

I didn't that stuff to work with the first bottle I bought in 2017. I never really knew how to apply it. It only seemed to wor when I used it as a drying aid.

But I really like how ONR would react to washing an OS treated finish. This took me down a rabbit hole that resulted in my trying out the bulk of the line. This was in 2021.

I finally saw some decent water behavior from that original bottle after prepping with Hyper Polish. I've also since learned how to properly apply it. I used to not leave enough on the finish, and / or I'd wipe it off with a microfiber before it had a chance to set in. Now it's one of my favorite products. That bottle barely squeaked by after a winter though.

The current version lasted through the winter and kept it's looks the entire time. It's still beading.

Hyper Seal is what I used on mom's cat last winter and when I went to clay it into the spring, it was slick after playing. It's the v2 of Hyper Seal, so that one must be pretty strong to resist clay toweling.

I'm not really on the hunt for the next best thing these days, but more looking to gain proficiency with the products I use. So if there is some sort of anomaly I can better troubleshoot it, to mitigate future anomalies with the wax, sealant, or coating. This is also why I like staying with one line.

The bulk of my current set up consists of Opti, with select 3D abrasive liquids. I have the Opti as well, but I tend to only use them when I'm working at home. If I'm doing an out call or I'm at work I like the predictability of the traditional lotion/bottle polishes. The sprayers on the Opti can clog or spray funky. I like the idea and the speed at which they allow me to work, but sometimes I don't want the headache.

3D seems to play well with Opti, it could be that I do a final wipe with ONR (256:1) in a trigger bottle, before applying Wax or OS.

I do have their Ultra Ceramic Seal, and that seems pretty good, but I haven't tested it long term.

Probably the biggest reason I like Opti is how they deal with water spots. Where others succumbed to water spots, the Opti stuff came through.

Specifically with my gf's Jeep. I had a client vehicle in the garage, so she had to leave her Jeep in the driveway. I completely forgot about the sprinklers, and her vehicle got hit. When she came home from work that day she mentioned that whatever I had on her Jeep - keep using it. He me turned all the water on in the morning baking in the morning sun never resulted in water spots. I have Gloss Coat on it and had just applied Ultra Ceramic Seal a day or two prior after a wash. That right there is the biggest reason I use their products. Another was seeing a bird bomb bead up on Car Wax.

No, not the best water show, and probably not the best "durability", but the come through for me enough to hang my reputation on them. I'm actually thankful for how little they affect me physically, how easy they are to use and the results I get from them.

So my experience may be of little value, being that I'm so limited in my selection these days, but it might help someone out there.

Since the GT500 has a Gtechniq coating, I was eyeballing their spray ceramic sealant. Has anyone here used that before?

The Shelby may push me to try more from that brand. Just waiting for a brand-specific sale from the retailer I typically use. Their brand specific sales are up to 30% off sometimes. It's usually worth the wait.

I like Detailing School English. Fireball as a new coating now in Canada that comes in an aerosol can. I think i might breakdown and get it. :D

Tank looks super interesting as well...

The way I see it, Gtechniq are a coating company first, detailing chemical maker second. As in, their coatings are extremely good, but the rest is pretty average. Most of what I have tried has been pretty forgettable, although I do really like Tri-Clean, and W4 Citrus Foam was ok.

I'd say you would be better served going the Carpro route, their supporting products are much better, likewise ADS. Most people like to hate on it but Reload 2.0 is a very good product for gloss and slickness, and is now much easier to work with. As for ADS, it's hard to go past Amplify for ease of use and slickness. Actually, their Ceramic Spray Sealant is just as easy and is supposed to last longer. And don't rule out Gyeon Cure, its often overlooked.

Considering your Mustang is white, it can be hard to get that POP happening. This is where I think products that have a wax-like look and feel work better. Again, most like to hate on it, but Bead Maker is known to work well with Gtechniq coatings and will give that warm glossy glow and slickness of a wax. Also, any of the B&B Slipstream derivatives work well on Gtechniq coatings, giving that waxed look and feel but a little easier to work with. Adam's Slick & Slide, Ethos Pro-Shine, Xtreame Solutions Topper and Obsessed Garage Drying Aid are variants of Slipstream. The OG version is the only one without a scent and color, making it more stable, however I really loved using Slick & Slide as it smelled lovely and delivered that warm gloss that I love.

I still use Carpros Reset, Eraser, Clarify, and Iron-X. I haven't used Reload in years, no experience with the 2.0 version. Assuming it is more durable these days than when I last used it?

Shiny cars :D

Reload got a significant upgrade a couple of years ago which focused on ease of use and longevity. I never really struggled with 1.0, but I certainly noticed 2.0 required less effort to deliver the desired results. As for longevity, I'm guessing your Mustang will be a garage queen, in which case you won't have any issues with longevity. In any case, you already have the protection via the coating, and Reload is so easy to use that applying every 3 months shouldn't be a problem.

Once this Jescar Ceramic Spray Wax(ex. Just Bead It?) is gone I will be giving the "new" Reload a revisit. Thanks!

The new sealants from Fireball and existing sealants from Sonax (BSD and Ceramic Spray) bead like a high-end coating.

Ive been hearing very good things about Feynlab Ceramic Spray Sealant.

Just got a liter of Jescar Powerlock which i feel is a top sealant. So not needing any sealant at the moment but I may have to try the Feynlab. It is available in an 8 oz bottle so i guess that's the sample size.
