So I got my first chance to test the Supa Beast on several scratches. They were on the passenger side of this Ford Escape. Damage was from a bicycle running along the side of it. Used a combo of Pinnacle Polish and Pinnacle Compound. Below are some before and after shots…..

Happy with it? I though about getting one last weekend but just couldn’t justify another tool for the amount of polishing I do. Maybe if I were doing this for money…

I can't justify another tool either. If I had a scratch I'd probably just use my rotary.

Hey Bruno. I don’t do this for money either, but after much discussion with Mike Phillips I pulled the trigger on one. Don’t have to worry about stalling and you can go up on edge with ease. Like Mike said, this one tool can basically do it all. Plus the quality of the tool is fantastic being German made. I started with a Milwaukee cordless rotary (since I’m in the Milwaukee cordless line), but it takes a lot of skill and of course there’s always the risk of doing more harm than good. I decided to keep the rotary anyway for machine scrubbing tires, carpets, and doing headlight restorations, which was also a suggestion from Mike. I guess it depends on what tool you already own, but you can’t go wrong with the Supa Beast.

Nice job jas!

Question…what’s the learning curve for the BEAST?

Well, the Supa Beast characteristic is to pull you at times, but to minimize this, you want to keep the pad flat, make sure the pad is properly lubricated and don’t buff over two panels of varying body lines at the same time. Once I started doing that, it was a much smoother process.

Second this, and ive found out that my arms get a bit more of a workout compared to a free spinning:buffing: lol. Just needed to learn not to let the machine over power me...meaning give it the resect it deserves due to its title(supa beast) but show that machine that you are the master of said machine :D

Did you get a used one or did you write on it?

Nice job!

I've had the Flex 3401 for a long time. For years, I've tried so very hard to love it. About a year ago, I put it up on the shelf and haven't used it since. Polishing is not enjoyable to me with the 3401. Glad you like your Supa Beast!

Beautiful work! I just bought the Supa Beast to replace my Flex 3401. I have delegated the 3401 as my back up DA after several years of hard use. I am so happy I did.

The DA is quieter, runs cooler and is a little lighter. As for power, the 3401 is a little more powerful, however, I don't see any job that the Supa Beast could not tackle.

But no more need for ear plugs when working with the Supa Beast. IMO the best investment for me this year.

But again, beautiful work! KEEP ON ROCKING!

Thanks! And thanks for the encouragement! I’m new to the detailing world, but I’m learning and improving each day.

Thanks! Just curious as to what machine you found worked best for you?
